Does anyone know if she still works for BW? I hope by some miracle she comes back for MEA because after the craptastic human male LIs for DAI it would be nice to have somebody who knows what they're doing.- Plus the fact I can't shake the feeling that these male writers can't seem to help themselves injecting angst and drama into their male LIs. It would be nice to have something sweet and normal again.

I was worried we didn't have enough romance threads. Thank you for alleviating my concerns.

His romance wasn't angsty with a faithful Shep.

Unfortunately now that I think of it I believe most people did the unfaithful version so my thread is probably going to seem nonsensical now. smh

So you mean human male same sex LI only then? Human male opposite sex LI were just as atrocious in DAI. Josephine? Cassandra? Really? I tried to romance Sera, but I was rejected... Heck, part of the reason I want my Hero of Ferelden to return is so I can romance Leliana again because she's that awesome! Really though, love interests were pretty terrible in DAI. It was really the first BioWare game where I just didn't like it at all.

As an apology for the absolutely terrible LI in DAI, I'm hoping BioWare gives us double of this in MEA.

It was confirmed in the Twitter thread a while ago that she's writing for MEA. It was pretty clear she's writing at least one character, but it wasn't confirmed if it's an LI.

Tweet here: http://twitter.com/t...022831546073089

Whatever she's doing I'm exited she's in! Kaidan in ME3 was even better than in 1.

All the gay characters have been filled with angst, Dorian and Cortez while all the lesbian options have been very happy and fluffy like with Sera and Samantha. I smell a conspiracy, I think Bioware is trying to change the definition of gay to mean sad instead.

She wrote Kaidan in ME3 too, right? If so, she's ****** fantastic and should just write every romance that isn't like Solas or anything plot-related from now on.

@Dude with Jack portrait: What? You find Kaidan (his romance arc) angsty in ME3? As opposed to Ashley? As soon as he gets onto the normandy and you can have your date with him on the Citadel he becomes a great supporting character IMO, and he has some pretty fantastic writing. Probably my favorite post-sex scene out of all ME3 romances, actually.

Kaidan in ME3

Loool, no.

I LOVED Kaidan in ME1. He was pretty much perfect to me. But he got turned into a depressed mess in ME3 who was not supportive at all. Totally wrapped up in his own insecurities. Such a disappointment. And when you turned him down before,  in ME3 he'll hit on you anyway and try to emotionally blackmail you into a relationship. WTF.

Kaidan in ME3 made me wish I could have dumped him for Liara at the end...

I need Alistair in space. Badly. Where are the sweet supportive CHEERFUL male love interests for straight women? Dorian was so much fun but... *sigh*

Didn't really know her until now. But if she makes a new male Li or another brother in arms. I'm cool, either way. I can't wait and see who my new brother will be. Mass Effect 1-3 it was Garrus, Wrex, and Kaidan. I need a fourth ME brother T-T

Meh, I'll trade you Dorian for Cullen. The worst gay character being written by Bioware.

I do hope we get more of Kaidan and Alistair though for male LIs, something that is more drama free would be nice.

You think human male LI's in DAI are crap, but you want someone who makes more romances like Kaidan's?

Well each for themselves I guess

Umm as much as I loved the Sera romance, it is anything but fluffy. It has more than its share of angst and melodrama.

It is resulted in doing actions Sera disagrees with, instead of the gay conversion or getting over dead husband thing. It's like Kaidan protecting Udina thing, it's drama but most of his relationships drama free, unless you're a cheating douchebag. Cullen also has My Little Pony addiction you need to get him off of, but overall, the relationship itself is mostly about romance and fluff.

Ugh. Kaiden was a weenie. No thanks. My favorites were Thane (had an interesting life and a philosophy that he was willing to discuss...and the voice) and Alistair (humor, no drama! ...loved him).

You want more LIs to unaccountably "forgive you for cheating" when you've done nothing wrong? Having his head driven through a shuttle's hull must have scrambled his brains.

Well, just as long as the person who wrote Jacob in ME3 is kept far away from the male LIs....

Well, at least no gay character have to end up: being cheated on, die no matter what, and having to make the LI impregnate another woman just to stay both alive. I think is mostly a cospiracy against male LIs in general, with particular rage towards straight female characters.

On Topic, I wasn't much into Kaidan. I romance him in ME1 because he was the only option for my straight female character, and than I leave him in ME2. I always found him boring at best. (not as much as Jacob, but still...) And I think his character really is flat if he is not in a romance (romance that I find quite cliche and very little interesting.). In my last run in ME3 I almost forgot that I had him in the team.

I don't really consider dating someone else in Mass Effect 2 as cheating. It's not like Ashley or Kaidan really give you an option to stay together. If they did i most likely would have stayed with Ashley the entire series.
