only if EA can afford it.......

You would think with how they nickel and dime the hell out of everyone that plays their games this would be a given.

... ME3 MP is literally a direct copy of their specific game modes (Firefight, Horde, Zombies). Yes, it is a "blatant rip-off" and that's not an overstatement. I don't believe I ever said my opinion was "superior." I do believe it is boring, unoriginal, and I'd rather see BioWare use their money elsewhere. ....

You are indoctrinated. Reaper invasion of the BSN detected. Reported.

The console users can pretend they're on dedicated servers because ... paid online right? Gotta justify it to themselves somehow.

I certainly hope so combined with a better net code.

The main problem with MEMP isn't really that players act as host, it's more that to many people with far to slow Internet connections insist on hosting, dedicated servers would save us from it.

It probably wouldn't be as big of an issue if people didn't constantly kick players out of matches due to not having a high enough level, having certain weapons, or playing a specific class. Truth be told, the community only has itself to blame for people preferring to host rather than join random matches where they could be kicked at any moment.

Yep. Feel free to look at my ME3 profile on my profile page via BSN. It should have a listing for the Xbox 360 and PC. I've played ME3 MP on both platforms. The community is absolute trash on both.

I've literally never been kicked in around 1000 hours across 3 accounts. Maybe you're just a scrub that noone wants to carry?

The only time I was kicked in my 600 hours on PC was a month ago, & i was off host nova guarding, the host was jelly of my nova guard's yelling.

Nope. I've completed missions on the highest difficulty and sometimes I'll just get kicked from a room for no reason. You must be extremely fortunate. It's fine though, I'd rather just host myself. Joining scrubs usually doesn't end well anyway.

Once in a blue moon I've been kicked, usually for scoring too many points. Doesn't make the community trash, though.

Well when I say "trash" I mean kids screaming on the mic, blasting music, or just being overall obnoxious. Then there are the types who will join a match but not actually do anything and just sit there hoping to be carried. Honestly, am I the only one to deal with the common, online MP communities in a game?

While I will never agree with paying to play online it is a fact that within a few months the PS+ exclusive discounts more than pay for the yearly subscription.

You can keep screaming the "PC master race rawr!"  That's all good.  I've played on PC its filled to the brim with modders and cheaters.

Master race? lol.  Fun times though.....The last week or so I decided to start playing Star Wars Battlefront since it came with my console.  I was catching up on their forums and trying to learn everything that I can.  Come across a PC rage thread and this is what I saw LOL!

Of the multiplayer games I've played, the ME3MP community is one of the best ones. Either that means I play some really horrid MP, you play some amazing MP, or both are true, but my point stands. :P

Or I'm just gud. Multiple plat solos with every quarian, for instance. No one's gonna kick me and lose a free ride on my Liveship to a fat payday.

Scrubs are the best pugs. They get to watch me carry them from spectator mode and hopefully learn something useful. Makes me feel like I'm really making a difference in the ongoing fight against the Reapers, unlike the lackluster SP where muh choices don't matter at all.

I love playing with scrubs. Trying to get 3 other people to extraction knowing that success or failure hinges almost entirely on what I do is so very much more interesting to me than doing a solo.

That is very rare in MEMP, and I think the main reason for why so many of us have played it for so long, it's in general a very relaxed and friendly community.

I'd understand the argument if it were relating to PvP games like CoD or CS etc as those games tend to bring out the worst in people, but in MEMP due to it's co-op nature it's very rare to come across rude or abnoxious players.

Who said anything about multiplayer in MEA? I hated ME3's copy/paste multiplayer that was clearly a rip-off of Halo's Firefight, Gear's Horde, CoD's Zombies, etc.

I'd rather have coop than another boring ME3 MP that is nothing more than a tedious and redundant grind attempting to encourage people to spend money on silly microtransactions.

You do know that your SUBJECTIVE tastes are not objective fact right? That they hold no kind of validity what so ever beyond yourself.

3s3k1d.jpg

Plenty of people feel otherwise and it is in fact quite popular as well. And it definitely isn't tedious or redundant to me even now after 3 years!

On topic, dedicated servers would definitely solve a lot of the off host issues and lag which would mean better team performance overall. It's definitely possible like the case of DICE with battlefield having the same game engine which has dedicated servers for online pvp. I'm not holding my breath though.

Quoted for truth.

I personally hate MP in most games but lots of people don't share my opinion. EA has a separated revenue stream MP that allows them to assign a separate development team which means developers for one are not fighting against developers of the other for budget share. To me this is the perfect solution it allows for gamers of both persuasions, those who like and those who dislike MP to get the most from the game. But then I am an adult and just because i don't like something doesn't mean i want to see it removed from existence.

Yes, my Canadian friend. I recognize entirely that my opinion is mine alone. That, however, does not change the fact ME3 MP is a generic knockoff of plenty of other games that have had this similar game mode for many years. That was my point.

Hey now, I didn't say it couldn't be fun sometimes. I did enjoy ME3 MP on occasion. It's just not something I was motivated to play constantly due to the thrill and enjoyment wearing off rather quickly. It's my personal opinion, as has been established.

That happens, if it happens at all, on plat only. Carrying 3 underequipped and underleveled pugs can get stressful fast. In my nearly 600 hours of me3mp I only got the boot twice. Once For playing a Juggy equipped with the Incisor. It was their loss. I carried the next lobby in style. The second for scoring ridicously high. Must have hurt someones ego there. So, maybe the problem isn´t the community but you?

OMFG. No you didn't say the words it couldn't be fun but you cage things in such a manner that anyone reading your post would conclude you didn't have fun.

And in fact by saying that ME3 MP is NOTHING MORE followed by using adjective of tedious and redundant I would actually say you did in fact say it couldn't be fun by excluding that possibility in the last statement of your post.

But we are all just CRAZY for jumping to that conclusion because we just took you at your word silly us.

Perhaps I'm just too handsome for my own good...? I don't know! I've beaten all of the ME games on insanity. I unlocked most of the characters and got a lot of the OP weapons. I certainly never died a lot and typically am the one to carry my teammates. I don't know what gives! I don't even use my headset on PC, so it's anybody's guess!

Eh. I can't help if you make assumptions about my rhetoric. The MP is okay. It's just not something I enjoy over a long period of time. I'd prefer something a bit more original or having more relation to the main story of the game. Somebody is definitely CRAZY!!! Who could that be?

He slowly closes his suitcase, with a troubled look:

"Sorry to say Bsn'ers, but we have to apply Triage on this poor body".
The mind left long ago, and it's just inhumane to leave it suffering like that.

I like SP a lot, and had to relearn playing mp. Both are good fun in their own right. Vice versa applies certainly also.

Good to see the community standing together on this one.
With the wake of andromeda an arduous sifting will restart anew. Vigilance are called for, even with wannabe veterans.
