Just a quick question. Will MA: Andromeda have xbox controller support for PC. I have played the trilogy on xbox 360 and I would like to play the upcoming game on PC but with a xbox one controller. Any info would be appreciated.

Well we do not know for sure, but DA:I had Controller Support on PC so there is no reason that ME:A won't have that aswell. Hopefully that is an acceptable answer.

The answer to your question is "yes." It's standard for PC ports to have controller support. In fact, it would be unusual for the game not to have controller support.

That being said, shooters are best with mouse and keyboard. Controllers are too slow and suffer from magnetism in order to help the player aim.

True, but I am so set on playing this game with a controller that mouse and keyboard would be a whole new world for me. Didn't the last Dragon Age have controller support ?

Yes. DAI has controller support. I believe most AAA console ports have had controller support since at least 2009 or 2010.

I do have an Xbox One though. My PC is more powerful, however, so definitely getting it on PC! Plus, mods!

I played DA:I on PC with controller. Might do the same with this.

True...for first-person shooters. Third-person games normally play much better with a controller. Ever try playing a 3D platformer with PC controls?

And if you have an Xbox one then we should definitely game sometime. Not that I really have that many multiplayer games for the xbone yet but we can work something out I'm sure xD

I tried playing Batman Arkham City with mouse and keyboard... That was a disaster...

Yeah! For sure! I only have Halo MCC, Halo 5: Guardians, and Forza 5 currently though. I really only have my Xbox One for exclusives.

I don't know a lot about X box and I don't much follow it, but it is my understanding people are really mad because they are now going away from exclusives?  I have a RL friend who is really mad.  He bought an Xbone because he wanted Quantam Break?  It was supposed to be Xbone exclusive, but now all of the sudden the games are coming out on PC as well?

Well sort of. It's more of tricky, desperate tactics on Microsoft's behalf. The X1 is under-performing and far behind the PS4. Sony has sold about 10 million more units than Microsoft has. Because there are only about 19 million X1s in circulation,  Microsoft wants to broaden the profit margins of its exclusives to make more money. These games are still very much console exclusives (not available on PS4), but they are coming to PC as well via Windows 10 and the Windows Store.

Unless he's a PC gamer, I don't see why he would care if Quantum Break and Fable: Legends are coming to PC or not. It only helps Microsoft by expanding their player base while still having titles not available on PS4. It's a win-win for Microsoft, and it also allows them to build a foundation and compete with Steam on PC, which is what they are doing. Quantum Break will only be available on the Windows Store and not any other digital service, so this is a two-fold plan on Microsoft's part.

The only negative is that it may impact X1 sales partially, but not very likely. Console gamers typically aren't also PC gamers, and Microsoft realizes this. Thus, since these are, essentially, two separate markets, Microsoft doesn't have to worry about cannibalizing the sales of the X1. Honestly, if Sony was smart, they'd do the same thing and get their exclusives on PC to broaden their profit margins. Either way, that's currently what Microsoft is up to in order to catch Sony.

Oh yes.  He is very much a "PC master race" kind of guy.  I hear his mouth all the time....it's all jokes and everything, but he is very much a PC gamer.

He feels if the "exclusives" that he has a Xbone for are coming out on PC then why does he have an Xbone?  He already has a good PC.

Exactly. For PC gamers, having an Xbox One is going to be pointless soon. Rumor has it even Halo 5: Guardians is probably coming to PC eventually.

Like I said before, Microsoft is operating under the assumption that most console gamers aren't also PC gamers. Due to the level entry cost of obtaining a decent PC, many folks go the console route. So for most individuals, Quantum Break going to PC isn't that big of a deal for them. As long as it doesn't go to PS4, that's all most gamers are going to care about. The PC community is so small and niche that most won't care.

Having support for the xbox controller would be good but not for them to do what they did with DA:I which was make it so the game in both pc and system use the same system ie infaces and controller are meant for the controller.

After DAI, I'm pretty sure MEA will not only support controllers for a PC, but it will be optimized for such rather than KB+M

I love the console war for the fact of how fired up people get and all of the comedy it provides.  I may take advantage of this from time to time.

In reality I have no allegiance to any company.  All we are is dollar signs to them.  It's a business.  I used to really like SONY until they ran the SOCOM series into the crapper.  Sony can kiss my butt just like Microsoft can.

That said SONY killed it this generation with the PS4.  The PS4 is the greatest controller ever made IMO.  I liked the PS3 one a lot, I thought it would always be my favorite. The PS4 controller is where its at.

And it doesn't run on AA batteries like its 1987    I guess its personal preference, but the Sony one is 10/10

They better have controller support or I will continue to buy only all versions that support it like I did, until fans created hacks that enable gamepad support. (And yes, I own all version of ME Trilogy before anybody asks, and more with extra duplicates. But only because of fan gamepad mod support)

NextArishok, have u also noticed that RR and OWA have the same writing style and make the same spelling mistakes? Now, some might think that it's strange that someone confirms their own statements and send like to one-self - but it is really entertaining to see how much effort some put's into getting acceptance.

I have raised an eyebrow a few times, but seeing the account was made in 2014 an I know OWA from since I first signed up here.

I remember telling her that her avatar looked like a gypsy in the Off topic avatar thread and that went over real well    She is on my side in reality. She is a gun lover/supporter so I wish her the best.

Are you saying its a guy?  That's too much for me.  I used to know a guy that did that on PS3.  He would chat with guys and stuff while we played because they would hit on him because of his feminine name.  He would giggle like a school girl and tell us about it.  Freakin weird.  (was a friend of a friend) I can't get down like that.  That's too much for me.  To answer your question no.  I don't have any interaction with it outside of just publicly in threads on this site.

I'm kind of hard to troll, but I'm always down for sharpening my knives.  Bring it on Master Race with your hacked and modded MP community.
