I got you all beat.

I had a dream where a friend of mine tried to murder me with an axe. Except insted of his head, he had a giant billiard 8-ball (the black one) and called himself "The Cue-ball man". and he chased me around town with an axe. And we ran into a hotel and he chased me up an endless staircase. Then we jumped from elivator to elivator
then comes a fuzzy part of hte dream, but I'm sure there wre lions in it...or something.
Then suddenly me and a whole bunch of my friends are in a plane, cue-ball man still behind  us, wihout an axe this time - and we all jump out of the plane, which if fyling right above the town beach.
And we all have parachutes and we open them. And each parachute has a big black letter written on it.
And as we slowly fall in a line, one can read what the parachutes spell. "Maria is a b****." And I don't evne know any maria....

I have a recurring nightmare in which a friend takes a stray bullet to the neck and bleeds to death despite a medic's best efforts. I don't think I'll ever manage to get rid of that one.

Nightmares?

I always dream I am locked / trapped in a hot burning room full of locked doors, I am desperately trying to get out but it does not work......I hold my breath until I can no more and I end up breathing in the hot  black metallic-tasting smoke from the fire. The intense heat of the smoke burns my throat and lungs.
After the first few breaths I feel extremely sick fighting to keep consious still trying to get out of the room - but the sickness gets worse each breath, I feel the need to puke, I feel tired, heavy, my moves getting slower .
After about a minute I lose my eyesight crawling on the extremely hot floor, my limbs getting heavy, cannot breathe no more and slip....but I dont want to let go...in this dream I dont get the feeling of death beeing a release, desperately fighting the inevitable death for a few moments.

....then I wake up.

This dream is always so real, much more real than all other dreams I have, thats how dieing must feel like.
Dont know what it means, maybe I am dreaming my own death? Dont know, but its horrible.

This is an old dream. It's from before I was a Bio board regular.
I do have other strange dreams, but I keep forgetting them.

Oh, there's one where I'm captain a Orion class destroyer from FS2. And then I ransom the world to do my bidding or I'll perform an Exterminatus. And then I glass a mountain or two just to prove my point.
I usher a new era of peace...and force the world to make re-makes of some of my favorite series with me making the final calls and removing all the bad from them.
Good dream.Posted Image

My scariest nightmares come from my childhood, some of the worst of them I can still remember quite clearly.

When I was about 8 years old I had a dream about a clown. He stood in the middle of the living room, I was on one side of the room, and on the other side where the stairs up to my parents. The clown looked quite friendly, but with every step I took, he started to look less friendly and more scary, he looked at me, almost daring me to take another step. When I was halfway I stopped for a moment, and then ran off upstairs as quickly as I could, to my parents while having all sorts of crazy images of what that clown might have looked like if I looked back. That was the end of the dream though.

But the most scary nightmare I ever had was about two years earlier than that. I was visiting relatives with my parents, and they have a small room in the back which had toys and such from my nieces. We where playing there a bit and I moved to that room to get some toy or such, and there was a big pile of cuddly stuffed animals. I heard a growl however, and very slowly a wherewolf stood up from under that pile of stuffed animals. I ran off to try and warn my sister but couldnt speak, the dream ended after that.

It returned to me several times, and I had been affraid of visiting those relatives for months.

Its mostly the constrast that made it scary, it used to be a very nice and happy dream, and suddenly that image got disturbed.

Still I have had worse dreams in recent years. But they are not nightmares, instead they are the perfect dreams where I find a loving girlfriend through a spontanious event, I truly feel happy in those dreams untill I wake up. Waking up from such a dream is a nightmare, I dont have these dreams often but sometimes it can be rather intense.

Once when I started to slowly wake up from the dream, the girl was begging me to stay with her, asking me to not leave her. And I didnt want to go, I wanted to remain asleep and stay with her. I cried that morning, and I dont cry easily. I felt depressed for days after that.

then i look up to the shiny toxic green sky, and there always appears a terrific, croaking and laughing old ugly witch riding her broom.

its really scary, cause the pulsating noise mixed up with that damn witch laugh drives me crazy...

Theres only 2 'nightmares' that I even consider 'nightmares'.

My definition of nightmare is: A dream that can scare you.

And because dreams are a personal thing, what is a nightmare to one person, could simply be a normal dream to someone else.

I've had dreams where people I know are dieing and stuff like that, and I still consider them dreams. They don't really frighten me.

But these 2 dreams, for some reason beyond my understanding, succeeded in not only waking me up, but making me turn on my light before going back to bed. (Which is stupid. If the boogie man really wanted you dead the light wouldn't stop him. Neither would hiding under the bed sheets.)

Note: How real these dreams felt contribute to how scary they were. If they didn't feel so real I honestly would of been fine.

1. Pictures -

The dream I WAS HAVING, shifted into me standing in front of a log cabin in the woods (typical). I opened the door, because apparently i'm a moron when i'm dreaming, and I step inside. What was a one story cabin on the outside is now a 2 story cabin. And theres pictures of me everywhere. Pictures of me doing things, talking to people...nothing illegal, just doing random stuff. Then my phone starts vibrating every 1-2 seconds, i'm getting text messages like nobodies business.

Every message contains a photo of me dead in different ways, and in the upper right hand corner of the screen is an unreckognisable image of something that keeps getting bigger with every message.

While i'm looking at these messages I make my way up the stairs to the 2nd floor, because again, in dreams i'm apparently the world's biggest moron. The small image in the images keeps getting bigger, and starts resembling a totally black child (not that kind of black...I mean like BLACK. Darkness black) with red eyes and no mouth.

When I finally reach the top of the stairs I see all the pictures from my phone all over the wall (the ones of me dead) and sitting on a bed in the middle of the room is that little black demon with a noose in his hand. He starts walking towards me, and the closer he gets, the darker my vision becomes.

After that I woke myself up, one of the only 2 times I had to make sure I was really dreaming, it was kinda freaky :P

2. The Chill -

Dream begins with me waking up. FYI...thats never a good sign. If you've ever had a dream where you've gone to bed or woken up, you know bad things happen :P

So I wake up. And it feels like i'm actually awake. I see this dream in black and white for some reason. The entire house is dark but I can still see. Everything in my room is how it should be, where it should be.

I open my door and step into the hallway. I feel a chill and hear a breeze. Somebody left the front door open. I cross the living room and close the door. Then I hear something down the hall. I move into the hallway opening to check what it is (cause i'm stupid) and I see some slight movement. A shadow. Then I hear the front door open again. I turn around, see nothing but the door open, turn back around, toward the hallway, and just a few feet in front of me is that shadow, just staring at me.

And I woke up >.>

AGAIN, by themselves, they don't really scare me. It was all about how real they felt.

Yesterday night I dreamed that my mother committed suicide and that my father and I were the ones to discover her body, and that later we were both overseeing the funeral details. Granted, such a thing never happened in real life, but when I woke up for a moment I was completely confused (and also saddened when I realized what really was going on). It does lead to a number of interesting questions about revisionist histories though, especially the ones our minds make up for us. And, of course, it leads one to ponder the "what if" scenarios that may or may not come true in real life. Jarring experience, to be sure, but also insightful - I guess - if one can get past the initial horror.

My dreams just tend to range between kinda neat, weird and really ****ing weird. That said I've had only one nightmare in the past few years.

From what I can remember it involved demonic possession of the masses (a la big budget zombie films, but without the gross aesthetic adjustments - there was even a chase n' escape scene), being captured and tortured by my best friend - which mostly involved my torso and sharp pointy things (in retrospect, my abs looked great though) and a demonic talking dog who's brains I had to spill. It was...****ed up to say the least.

I remember waking up from that and immediately calling my bestie and yelling, "Don't you ever[...]!"

It was interesting to note that in the dream I remember considering the implications of if I killed her. In a right v. wrong sense and if she's possessed is she still who I knew her as or is that gone? I remember coming to the conclusion that she wasn't, and therefore, kosher to end her since she was the one trying to kill me and that I could always be sad later. (I'm very practical that way.)

did noone have that dream when they were younger, of going to school with no trousers (sorry, pants for you americans) on? Man that was one hell of a nightmare... I can remember walking through my school gates and thinking "wait, somethings missing." And then looking down you would have the terrible realisation that you're half naked and somehow while clothing yourself youd forgot the lower half of your body. It must be something to do with puberty... I only had that dream in my early teens, lol.
