I see the space magic in the show now that I'm older. Since it was my favorite childhood show I didn't notice. I didn't hear about Farscape until I was 20 and tried watching it then. Had I watched it when I was 10 I'm pretty sure I would have liked it more.

Come on. Farscape is hokey as hell and it's half filler, at least. It's not hard sci-fi or anything. It's escapism fantasy in space. With muppets.

in fairness most sci fi shows have their nutt yelements to them though Farscape is hardly exclusive in that. But I have to admit though it is one of the sci fi shows I do like

Well, if nothing else this thread has taught me to use google before I give the PC a name. I don't 100% buy that "Ryder" is going to be the name for the PC, but eh, I've seen/heard much worse nicknames pre-launch. As someone pointed out earlier, the pre-launch fan nicknames vanish very quickly once the name is confirmed.

A few of my favorites:

Rowan
Kayla
Alexandria

Guys

Roland
Alex (what, I like the name)
Zack/Zakk

Regardless of the name of the PC, I'll probably go with Kayla. That was the name of my very first Shepard.

Seriously, could we stop assuming Ryder is the name of the PC? If everyone keeps calling the PC Ryder and it turns out to be some other character's name it's just going to cause headaches down the line.
