In ME canon America invaded and took over Canada, kinda makes all Canadians American, doesnt it?

"[I]nvaded" is a bit of an exaggeration. The United States, Canada, and Mexico all merged to create the United North American States. I don't believe there is enough lore to really determine if America's culture just trampled over Canada's culture and Mexico's culture. Regardless, Vancouver is still clearly a Canadian city, even in this fictional setting under a merged North American continent.

Well, if the PC's last name is Ryder, I'll eventually do a playthrough with a female PC, who I will call Winona ... after John Crichtons gun of course.

You can't, or you'll next going to play on Easy mode. Easy "Winona" Ryder.

Another name I like is Skie. Skie Ryder. No, it isn't due to the Johnny Cash game trailer, it's just because I like the name. Speaking of FF games, I also like the name Terra [FF6] and Guy [FF2] ("Guy speak beaver." It makes sense in context.) Depending upon if Ryder is the last name or not, I might have to go with something else. When I play male characters, they are usually straight. So Guy Ryder might not be the best choice.

I really don't see how, Ryder, would be for another character. Bioware made a big deal out of the trailer, going "Pay close attention for a special reveal." Even if it's not Ryder, it won't effect my name. I went with Kierro for my male Shepard, I'm not sure if I should just keep the name, or name my new guy Kyle/Kylo.

I hated his character... Then again, I didn't like anybody in FFXIII. Every single character in the cast was a glaring stereotype and it bothered me the entire game. Sazh was probably the worst... Square Enix needs to get out of the stone ages and actually do some traveling to see how real people actually exist in the 21st Century.

Sorry for the slight derail, but FFXIII was the last I bought for the series other than the FFIV Complete Collection for my PSP. I couldn't finish it, because The Hallway was a slog. I played for three hours, cursed like a sailor, and then fired up X-2. Hey, it's goofy as hell but I have a lot of fun with it.

Still, Snow Ryder is a good name. It sounds like a competitive snowboarder. I mean that as a compliment.

I bet you probably chose control as your ending in ME3 so you could use the reapers to rule the galaxy with an iron fist. I'm sure the first thing you'll try and do in MEA is slaughter the nearest space buddy rabbit colony you find.
