I just started a new trilogy run last night. Only got to the Citadel so far. This first part in the Citadel is the hardest part of the trilogy to get through.
Last time you played a Mass Effect game

Christmas. I had a very enjoyable time playing the first Mass Effect (despite a few missing textures in one of the missions).

during my vacation last year. I was going to replay it now but i trying to wait for a humble with all the ME and DLC in 1 game.
i hate having 1 on steam and the other 2 on Origin.
unfortunately all 3 wilnot be releasing on Steam so that's unlikely.

I started over the holidays and finished last week. I forgot how great the story was.

In my opinion, it has the best Paragon interrupt in the series. That made it worth dealing with the lava jumping in the Hammerhead. I ignore any other missions with the piece of pyjack dung. Oh and I know that it seems silly that I'm putting a 4 year old event in spoiler tags, but I notice that not everyone has played Overlord. It's a must have ME dlc imo, dat ending, srsly got teary eyed the first time I played it. Get on it man!

When did citadel come out? That was the last time I touched ME.

March of 2013, the release of Citadel for ME3. I'm honestly waiting for the true complete trilogy edition that adds all the DLCs and gives us new highrez textures.
It's been nearly 3 years since I last played Mass Effect and it's my favourite franchise of all time.
Can't remember... Last year I think.

Why miss out on decent content just because ppl are trending hate on ME3 ending still. It's really not a big deal, I'm not sure i really understand the hate. it's still a somewhat set story someone had to write, even with choices, the technology and organization of these games development is still a long ways from empowering player choices to make ongoing differences. I thought that if ME3 was going to really follow through on making every choice matter, the game would have to be released as a serial in 3 parts that keep ME constantly in development, and instead of DLCs,there would be full additions to the game. Maybe some future games will incorporate this, allowing for deeper writing and alternative story lines depending on key plot climax points allowing for writers to go off in different directions and building up characters that may exist for one player and not for another. Innovation though, from EA, not likely. I don't feel mad at Bioware for the cheese endings, maybe because I'm just used to them and no longer hold my breathe. I was happy just considering the game done after finally vanquishing Maurader Shields. Any reasonable story wouldn't bother with 'endings' just offer open ended events. I really don't know what people expected to see for closure/alternative endings that would satisfy. Would it somehow lead you to play it again more often? It is what it is. Consider the Citadel DLC if you enjoy the characters, Leviathan isn't a really long addon but it's at least interesting and related to the ME world. I bought the DLCs for ME3 over time, it wasnice to have something fresh after replaying the game 3 times. I feel no desire to deride Bioware for putting up DLC, though they should lower the price on DLCs for things like DAI Origins and ME3 after a few years..
I smply stopped caring for more content because I stopped caring for the story. I alreay had problems understanding the approach they took with ME2, and my hopes ME3 would wrap it up in some logical exciting way didn't come true. The stupid ending is just the icing on the cake for me...I just do not care anymore about what happens in the ME-trilogy, even though I liked certain pieces. But overall, its just Meh-Effect to me now - that's why I also didn't buy any more DLC for a game that lost me...
Maybe I play Mass Effect One again someday, because it was genuinley good and kinda standalone. Like the first Matrix movie or Pirates of the Carribean. But of those two movies I also stopped caring what happened later in the franchise, as it all became a stumbled mess....Mess Effect, also nice ...

I tried me1 one again tonight but the cc is awful. Female Shep looks terrible and when I started the game and saw how she'd look for the entire game, I couldn't take it and stopped it. My character looking decent enough is just very important to me, I don't know how I used to play it so many times in the past with a character looking so awful. ME3 I think is way better, so I'll probably start a new playthrough of that instead.

If you play on PC there is a graphical overhaul that makes ME1 look much better.
I used it on my playthrough last year. It's a night and day comparison to what it used to look like. You can see the mod on the nexus website.

Yeah I've heard about that but problem is that I simply can't get used to playing on pc after playing on consoles. You know that Revan lol. I think the best thing will be for you to create mods for consoles, make that possible asap okay? ![]()

I'm not sure about ME1, but there is controller support for ME2 and ME3 if that's what you are talking about. You can even hook up your PC to your TV and use it as a monitor if that's what you want to do. Even if there isn't native controller support for ME1, you could get it to work with a X360 or X1 controller. There's no excuse for holding back.
For reference, I grew up as a console gamer. Once I made the jump to PC, I never looked back. ![]()

I see I see. So many possibilities!! LOL ![]()
Hmmm. If it has a controller support then I might consider it, cause that's the main issue for me, I can't get used to playing with a keyboard and mouse. And with me it's just the opposite, I used to be a pc player back in the days but then I jumped to the glorious consoles ![]()

I know the jump to PC can be intimidating for those used to the convenience and comfort of consoles, but it really is better. ![]()
Yep. Controller support isn't an issue. Even if the game doesn't offer it natively, which every game does today, it wouldn't be hard to get the controller working with the game. I personally prefer M+KB for shooters since controllers are slow and rely on magnetism to help aim, but there's nothing wrong with a controller otherwise. I had to use a controller for games like The Witcher 3 and Batman Arkham Knight as a controller is better suited for action-oriented games.
So what are you waiting for? Buy a PC!!! ![]()

You only think it's better because you're a pc gamer yourself lol
I don't think I'll ever prefer it over my ps4 or Xbox one.
I wasn't sure it was possible actually but I'm glad it is. I've also tried connecting my pc to a tv before and that works well as well. It's something to consider, that's for certain. I already have a pc. Actually I have TWO lol ![]()
