I read a lot of people don't like Sera, but tbh she is one of the more interesting ones. Her and Varric so far seem to be the funnier ones. However, whats with her body model? When I first saw her, I almost didnt think she was an elf, maybe another wood creature. Turns out she is an elf, but her silhouette looks nothing like any other elf in game.
She just says some funny **** and looks at everything differently.

I was expecting this to be a whinging thread tbh.
I like to imagine that beautiful, perfect bod of hers is a only a natural by-product of her expert use of a bow.
Sera is awesome, kinda like a spunky little sisters or daughter. But in a good way and not a creepy way like Merril was.

For me, Sera took some getting used to. I didn't hate her or anything but her childish demanor was big pet peeve of mine, despite how funny she occasioanlly is.
Well, I don't know about her body model, but Sera is the same height as a human female; with a unique hairstyle (in conversation with Dorian, you find out why it looks like it does).
Sera is also treated as a human when determining what she can and can't equip, instead of as an elf.

Merrill unfortunately doesn't appear in Inquisition on account of helping Elves around Kirkwall.

Sera uses a modified human female body (which is why she can wear human armor). All the other elves including the player have the very narrow shoulders and body

In the beginning i did not like Sera so much but after a while she grows on you or at least on me she has the most funniest party banter of all and as someone said in this thread about her haircut the party banter with Dorian is very funny and she has some really funny party banter with Iron Bull as well well with almost every body i almost always take her with me on quests and stuff there is only one little thing that annoys me a little and that is her laughter but that's just a little bit. And you mentioned her body model well to me she looks like an elf

oh one more thing the party banter with her and Solas is very funny to he is pro elf and she is anti elf very funny but you will find out yourself
Sera always suffered backlash from static character development, people grew accostumed to changing their companion's world views into something closer to their own and when faced with a cuckolander who doesn't give ground they got really mad like those religious people who can't accept others with a different opinion.
Since the DA fandom is more or less divided into a pro-elf and an anti-elf camp, Sera inevitably got flak from pro-elf players who didn't want to hear from an in game character why their beliefs sucked.
Another lesser point of conflict is that she is the only romanceable female Elf and she is a lesbian, male players who aren't into gay pairings could only romance Cassandra or Josephine so they got really butt hurt with the lack of options.
Personally, I really like Sera and enjoy romancing her. What's more interesting about her romance is doing so as a mage, just like Fenris you have to work past a lot of differences to make it work and that makes it all the more rewarding.
She's easily one of my favorite characters in the game, right alongside Cassandra and Dorian, and all around I feel that she sets the best tone for companion content when it comes to exchange with others, particularly Solas. That guy is far too serious and solemn. He needs someone that cuts into that crap, especially when it gets to poking fun at elves.
She's a marmite character. Personally i found her completely unfunny.

I think fart noises stopped being funny just before entering puberty, so I didn't much care for Sera. Didn't hate her or anything really, but she just rather childish and immaturity is a huge wall to developing any sort of relationship with her.

You need to let it go. She isn't going to become bisexual no matter how many times you bring it up.
Serza,Why not a female elf for a male pc? We have male human/female human and male Qunari/ female Qunari but,no male Elf/ female.Elf.. Its not a male tear thing unless you want it to be in your seemingly small world.
B-W needs to get their heads out of their arse and address that problem by making all characters bisexual that way they can keep everybody happy.
I even made a female Elf for gay relations Chasha hates all men.
