Sera sometimes comes across as intolerant or close minded, and disagreements with her always seem to devolve into her calling the other person stupid.

But she's quite fun when someone else is in her verbal crosshairs.

Chasha (either Dalish or CE that hates all men.) was made to romance Sera and I found it a tad harder then a hume(test game only ) or Qunari-started as a test and turned into game #5. 

 

My current play through as a Qunari female Sera seems more then willing but, Auran has her eyes set on Bull.

 

Sera is Sera and as the song says "she will fight to keep her way" and she will never change her thoughts.  In some ways her thoughts is more realistic then Solas. Again from the song "Why change the past when you can owned today?" makes a lot of sense.. Yesteryear is dead and gone and should be nothing more then a footnote in history.

 

The humes will never allow the Elves to become as powerful as they once was since the humes has to much hate, racism and bigotry  against the elves.

 

Sera does appear shaken and a tad confused after Corypheus and his dragon (AD?) appears.

But that's the thing, why does Sera have such a human-like body while all other elves have that small-boned waifish build?  It's not just the Dalish that city elves are also extraordinarily thin.   So why is Sera different?.

It's an interesting question. It can't really be about the armor looks, since so many of her armor looks are Sera-only anyway. It might be as simple as the art designers not wanting her to look too elfy.

Ironically, the same is true for Solas, who is obviously better built than every other male elf in the game, save Abelas & Co.. Uh oh, I feel an ancient elf conspiracy theory coming on again.

It's just hilarious when the Librarian calls Sera her mistress in Trespasser and she just freaks out.

He's taller than other elves, but also pretty thin as well, so perhaps his "unusual for an elf" characteristics don't stick out as much.  I know of the theories behind Sera and my guess is that one of them has to be true.  The codex for Sera after she tells the Lady Emmaud story indicates that Leliana's scouts could not find any record of a Lady Emmaud in Denerim.

How old exactly is Sera? For a time, I thought she was Amethyne in DAO.

Ah, yes. Her age was discussed to death, but we know that she is very young, and at least 18 in DAI. Because, y'know, Age of Consent?

 

She also mentions playing with "painted boxes" back in Denerim, which is a reference to the Red Jenny quest in DAO (making a nice tie-in with the Warden's story, as you can clearly hear a child laugh when you deliver the painted box during the quest), and let's face it,  the age range (I'm thinking 11-ish years, thus 7-10 years old at the time) puts her precisely in that sweet spot for the kid to actually be her.

 

It has been confirmed as far as I'm aware that she is not Amethyne.

I HAVE to tell you guys something SO FREAKING HILARIOUS! So I am exploring Hinterlands with Blackwell, Dorian and Solas (Sera is not in the group), and Blackwell  out of no where goes, HEY SOLAS, SERA WANTED ME TO ASK YOU SOMETHING.

 

Right when I paused for a moment, is Sera in my party? No she isn't.

 

Solas says something like, SIGH, JESUS F-ING CHRIST BLACKWELL NOT AGAIN. 

 

And the Blackwell really awkwardly asks basically, SO UHM....AAAHH....HAVE YOU EVER HAD SEX WITH SOMEONE IN THE FADE? LIKE WITH A DEMON GHOST? I DON'T WANT TO KNOW....BUT SERA ASKED.

 

I am paraphrasing of course, but I put my controller down and lost it man. I just fell off my chair. Just the way he asked, the writing in this game is the best I have ever experienced. Can't believe I had this game since launch and never played. I am reevaluating my life

 

At first I was thinking, what would be the most optimal companion makeup. Now I am thinking, who will say the funniest thing ever? I want to put Sera and Solas in a group together. Varric too. It's just so funny.

I'm not saying Sera isn't funny, but if you really want a get kick out of dialogue I say you take all of your mages.

Vivienne, Solas and Dorian make up the team that have thence dubbed "Sassfest 9:41 Dragon".

 

That being said, I know that dialogue your talking about and it made me giggle too. One of the funniest things she ever says in my opinion.
