I like Freddie..... he streams on Twitch regularly just for fun. I've never seen a celebrity so passionate about video games! (Well, maybe Snoop Dog's Xbox Live twitter rant....) I say as long as he can keep up with the demand and give us variety in his voice acting, he can keep hanging out in Bioware games.

Well I think she never voiced Buffy in any of the many BtVS video games, whereas the rest of the cast all voiced their characters. So I wouldn't hold out that she'll be willing to voice any character in a completely unrelated game.

 

Not that many people hate Vega actually. There are some who do, but they're just a very vocal minority. Whenever there has been a thread here discussing Vega there has been more people weighing in to say that they like the character than the reverse. The infographic Bioware released on Mass Effect 3 also had him as one of the most used squadmates, behind Liara and Garrus, and well ahead of both Ashley and Kaidan combined.

I don't dislike Vega and understand the need for him (he, Liara and EDI being the three core classes who are automatically available). But I don't know how accurate his fanbase can be calculated based on the infographic, since he is one of three default companions in the game. New players might be more inclined to use him since there's not a lot of elaborate backstory they need to learn on him, and people who import might have Garrus or Tali dead. Plus Kaidan/Ashley are late game additions and can easily be killed or refused entry on the squad. Tali is also a late companion. Javik is paid DLC. So with all of these factors, I can see why Vega would be one of the most used squadmates.

Glad to hear it. Vega is a really useful squadmate because he's really tanky, does great weapon (behind only Ash and Garrus) damage and has the best ammo power in the game. You don't have to micro manage him, he just kills things and doesn't die.

I wouldn't be opposed to it, he seems to be a pretty chill fun guy. Liked IB, was indifferent to Vega but after recently seeing Paragon Lost I can appreciate/get where his character has come from more.

I've been watching Freddie's Twitch stream today and I asked him if he had done any voice work for games lately, and if he was under NDA regulations not to talk about them. He said he hasn't worked on any video games lately, he's been busy with other stuff.

I think three different characters in three games might be a bit much, but this is operating on the assumption that he won't be playing James in Andromeda.  It's entirely possible, but I wouldn't be against it either way.  At first, I found him to be annoying, but there's a certain charm to the characters he plays.
