Blondes in ME don't have to be limited to caucasoids.

For that guy who was slammed for having a blonde 'club girl' Shepard, don't listen to others, she looks pretty tough to me, reminds me a bit of Pris from Blade Runner.
As for my ever expanding wish list, give me St Vincent, please and thank, she is a goddess:
Seeing as how genetic engineering exists in the ME universe, both for correcting defects and enhancing physical abilities, I don't see why you wouldn't also have genetic engineering for cosmetic purposes.
Altering hair, eye, and skin color with genetic engineering would be possible I'd think. You'd probably look strange for a few months (i.e. hair starts growing in blonde instead of black, brown, etc. and your skin would probably change in patches, similar to Vitiligo).
Yes, but I don't think she's a blonde. Not that it matters anyways.
I know she's not, I just think she's really beautiful and supernaturally ethereal. But most of the women here in this thread are not actually naturally blonde as well, they are just colored really good. Believe me I know, my hair is naturally dark blond, but I color it to be more platinum, so I pretty much know it when I see it. And you're right, it doesn't matter, because the game avatar can be naturally blonde, it's just a matter of not giving him dark roots. My Shepard was blonde in ME1 and ME2 and she looked like she colored her hair and had 2 month old dark roots.

Have to have consistent lore, otherwise the integrity and believe-ability, and thus the immersion into the game world, all breaks apart.
And besides: With any good writing comes the ability to figure out ways to add basically whatever you want without breaking the lore.

By that logic ME1-3 had bad writing because the trilogy constantly broke the lore. And that was a lore that was badly defined from the start.

To be fair, ME 1-3 definitely had bad writing, if we go by any not-very-low writing standards. Video games in general suffer from writing that at it's height is kind of decent but most of the time is abyssmally bad.
Many people here like to point out that the rareness of blondes in ME is based on bad science, but it really doesn't
require any kind of explanation. The Alliance represents (or is supposed to represent) the global human population
and worldwide, blondes are pretty rare even today. Now, maybe there should be more of them here and there, but
I'm hoping the overwhelming majority of humans in ME:A have dark hair, simply because it makes more sense.
But.... but.... hair dyes?
But.... but.... hair dyes?
I know right? It makes the in lore excuse for the lack of blondes seem silly.

Not to mention how common it is to get modded genes for practically everything.

Honestly, I never could get into futuristic uniform clothing and hairstyles that SF loves so much. I mean, people are people, they're always going to want to be individualistic, and mullet is going to come back into style again eventually.
Sad thing about the mullet is that only Kurt Russell, and Solid Snake make it look good.

No one makes a mullet look good.

I wash my hands of this.

If John Stamos can't pull it off. No one ever will.

Shoot i'll be a happy camper if the vanilla cc allowed me to recreate Plissken in all his glory.

Depends on what's being written. Bioware tends to have pretty weak story and lore writing, but strong character writing (at least, by video game standards). Most game developers move toward the opposite direction.
You forgot Patrick Swayze & Sarah Connor.
