Nintendo has lost me since N64.
Mass effect andromeda and the Nintendo NX.

Im a big Nintendo fan, always buy their consoles and handhelds day one, so if ME:A comes to the NX, with the full content and all DLC, then I will definitely pick it up.
Also, if DA comes to the NX, I would love some Legend of Zelda themed weapon and costume DLC packs.

I want Nintendo to be great again so would be nice to see the NX getting a MEA port. I too feel that the only thing bad about Nintendo consoles is that third-party support. But I think I am too deep with the PS4 that I am not sure it will matter pass Zelda games, they need to put a Pokemon MMO on the NX. The Pokemon game everyone dreams about at night time lol.
Screw pokemon. Give me a Gundam MMO on the NX. That property has almost completely died outside of arcades in Japan. There was only one Gundam game that came to the Wii and it was Japan-only and didn't seem that great. This is a great chance to revive Nintendo's reputation and the Gundam franchise!

Bioware and Sunrise should totally work together on a Mobile Suit Gundam game. It would be amazing.

Honestly, I think NX would have an advantage over X1 and PS4 even if the hardware was the same. Nintendo has more exclusives than Sony or Mucrosoft that people love. Nintendo just needs a powerful machine to win back 3rd party support. They also need to update their online service. I do feel bad for all the folks who bought a Wii U for Zelda and they aren't getting it. The game could still come to Wii U, but it's definitely an NX title now.
That's a pipe dream. Aside from being late to the party, Nintendo also doesn't dominate gaming culture any more. Their exclusives, while loved by all the Nintendo fans out there, don't move the masses. And they've alienated 3rd-party developers for a decade. Why would those developers spend the time and money to make ports for a third console that's starting at zero three years into the console cycle when Nintendo has given them no reason to do so? Why would console gamers jump ship to Nintendo if they weren't already Wii U owners? The Wii U is the cheapest by a lot and if those gamers were really so dedicated to playing the Nintendo exclusives they would already be doing it.

So what? Bandai/Sunrise owns the rights to Gundam. They have their own publisher which allows them to develop games on whatever platform they please. Unfortunately, the only two recent gundam games to be released came to PS4 and PS Vita for Japanese audiences only. Otherwise, most Gundam games are only in Japanese arcade centers.
I'm just saying Pokemon has always had a large presence in games since it's original release in 1998 and Nintendo pops out another remake/upgrade/etc. of Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow every other year.

I find it amusing that Nintendo had the best games this gen on the Wii U.

Nintendo has lost me since N64.
Gamecube was legit one of the best systems ever, though. The 6th gen was the last one where I had all the major consoles, and it won that gen handily for me.
I'm all for gimmicks, but the original Wii gimmick just made most games a chore to play (Skyward Sword remains the only main entry Zelda game I haven't finished because even the touted Wii Motion plus was impossible to use comfortably and reliably). At least the WiiU has something approaching a real gamepad, and the gimmick there is just a scaling up of their most successful gimmick to date (the DS). Hopefully, the NX will be something closer to that.
I'm always gonna be in Nintendo's corner, though, telling them to stop with the silly nonsense.

I wouldn't go that far. Nintendo still has most of the popular and recognizable exclusives in the business. I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the GameCube, but if they made a true console with 3rd party support as well as having their great catalog of 1st party games, I'd totally buy their console again. The problem with Nintendo is they stopped caring about trying to appeal to gamers and got caught up in gimmicks and ultimately lost their 3rd party support because of it.
The truth of the matter is 3rd party support is what drives the gaming industry. 90% of the best games made are 3rd party games and not 1st party. Honestly, there is barely any difference between X1 and PS4 because their most highly rated games are almost always 3rd party. They only have a few exclusives that really stand out and set the consoles apart. Nintendo, on the other hand, has a lot of exclusives.
The problem is they don't have 3rd party, so most gamers won't waste money just for Nintendo exclusives and nothing else. If they gain 3rd party back, I bet you ME3's ending they would put serious pressure on Microsoft and Sony.
I'm ultimately a PC gamer, so I don't care about console politics that much, but I'd probably be more likely to buy a Nintendo console than the PS4 since all 3rd party games are also on PC.

The xbox one and ps4 have been out what 2 years? in that time Nintendo has learned there lesson there not gonna bring out a console that can match them I have feeling they will just bring out more powerful system.

Most of Nintendo's iconic series are actually iconic characters, and have saturated pop culture. Mario is the brand, not Super Mario Bros. Link is the brand, not Legend of Zelda. The people who are in love with the games are already playing them. Everyone else couldn't be bothered.

But why would people go to the NX if it's just like the X1 and PS4? Why would the 3rd-party developers put the money and effort into porting to a console that's 3 years late to the party when they already 60 million X1's and PS4's out there?

I disagree with this explanation. Yes, Nintendo has recognizable characters. However, it is actual long-standing series that people gravitate towards. Super Smash Brothers; The Legend of Zelda; Mario Kart; Mario Party; Star Fox; Donkey Kong; Pikmin; Metroid; Pokemon; Animal Crossing; the list goes on and on and on.
That's an assumption and nothing more. I love the Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Brothers, for example. However, I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the GameCube and the last handheld I had was the Nintendo DS. I know I'm not the only fan of Nintendo properties who refuses to buy a Nintendo console because a lack of 3rd party support and a lack of interest in gimmicks.
They would go to the NX entirely because of the 1st party games. Just because you own an X1 or a PS4 doesn't mean you don't like Zelda or Mario. On the contrary, if the NX had all the 1st party games as well as 3rd party support, you'd likely see a lot of those X1 owners and PS4 owners going out to buy an NX just to get Zelda and the rest. They might even sell their other console if they prefer its exclusives. They won't need an X1 or a PS4 for 3rd party as Nintendo would have it.
Nintendo has struggled, but the company is far from irrelevant. They still have some of the most beloved game franchises in the industry and they still have one of the best reputations when it comes to making new, fun, and innovative game experiences. They also don't have a reputation of releasing broken, buggy, or incomplete games, as the 3rd party publishers seem to do all the time these days.
Again, this is coming from someone who hasn't played a Nintendo console in ten years. I'm a PC gamer and I also happen to own an X1. However, I'd definitely buy a NX in a heart beat if it had the hardware to rival the X1 and PS4.

Only way I would buy the Nintendo NX is if they have exclusives that blows me away. But, nintendo will release, Mario Party 13, Mario Kart 87, a Mario reboot, a nintendo all-stars fighting game... oh wait... Smash Bros? Legend of Zelda 1231. No thanks.
If ME:A comes out for NX, I would still not buy it. If Quantum Break releases on NX, I still won't buy it.

I'd care about Nintendo if they would stop being so f***ing stingy with their consoles and would actually let 3rd-party developers work on it for longer than the first 6 months of the console's lifetime.
But since it's Nintendo, I know that 80% of their sales will be 83 Mario games, 26 LoZ games, 2 Smash games, maybe with a Fire Emblem and Donkey Kong thrown in there for good measure.

Never played Mario Party, so I cant comment.
Mario Kart games are always excellent, and always receive near perfect reviews, not really sure what your issue is here.
The Mario games have never been rebooted, and just about every main series Mario game, which comes out at least once on each console, gets perfect reviews, redefines the platforming genre, and wins not only game of the year, but also game of the decade awards.
And really, you're shitting on Smash Bros now? A game that has had four iterations, everyone loves, and is always amazing.
And Legend of Zelda? Youre shitting on The Legend of Zelda? A franchise that defined and created it's genre, a franchise that any real gamer always looks forward to, and is one of the most beloved gaming franchises ever made.
What kind of gamer can you claim to be? seriously, im not even a Nintendo fanboy, I always buy every console, but you must be some special kind of brain dead, fanboy, moron. And yes, im holding back with my insults, because they wont let me post them here.
Face it, Nintendo could make the greatest console ever made, could have every developer working on it, and you would still say, "Nope, not buying it." Seriously, I do not get your kind, I really dont. You cant possibly be a proper gamer.

Wow, what is your problem?
I must have missed all of those Mario games that were originally out on previous consoles that came back in handheld form or made it to it's latest console. Not that it's a problem.
I grew up playing Sega and Sony. When I got older, moved to PC and Xbox. I don't really care for Nintendo. But funny, you saying what a "real" gamer is. Are you saying, in order for me to be a real fan of gaming, I must LOVE everything Nintendo has ever put out? Nintendo just isn't my flavor, and I'm not going to force myself to like something if I don't like it.
And having the freedom to choose which platform we get to play is great. Would you rather just one console be out on the market or would you rather have the choice to pick between, PC/XB1/PS4/WiiU(NX) or other?
My preferred platform is PC and Xbox. Don't get upset because that is what I like. Nintendo isn't for me, not because of lack of third party support. But I am tired of Zelda and Mario and all of the spin offs.
