In my defense?
I'm defending Nintendo, not myself.
I didn't think I needed to literally spell out that I was referring to your defense
of Nintendo. Guess I was wrong.
Besides, it doesn't take you much to attack people huh? I'm a mindless fanboy just because you happen not to be able to take on some exaggeration on the Internet?
I'm not attacking you. I offered an impartial criticism of your post ("...make you
look like a mindless fanboy",
not that you are one), and you decided to take it as an insult. No skin off my nose.
What bothered you dear, the numbers I used following the known repeating game franchises? Would you have preferred a factual Call of Duty #15, instead of 300?
Generally yes, the more factually sound an argument has, the more weight it carries. Sure, a slight exaggeration or two can make something appear stronger, but when you list off seven or eight in a row, it doesn't do you any favors.
The manner with which I presented my arguments in favor of Nintendo (except what they've done on YouTube, and still do to this day) is entirely irrelevant as long as you can simply get past the emotion and read between the lines.
The manner in which you present your arguments is not irrelevant as it speaks to your personal character, which can influence how someone then responds. Plus "You just have to read between the lines" is a terrible counter-argument.
