Depends on when the sojourn to Andromeda begins really. If we leave before or during the Rannoch Arc, then yes they would be forced to wear them. If we leave after Rannoch Arc, then they could have it as them no longer needing them because of Geth assistance or because of Synthesis(the only ending with them not wearing masks). Even if they don't have to, they will for most of the game since as Tali says the suits have become a part of their culture. However there could be scenes where we see a Quarian without their mask, like when they are off duty.

While I know we Quarians are forced to wear exo-suits to protect ourselves from your filthy diseases I was wondering if within the timeframe leading to Andromeda the other species of the galaxy had evolved to the point where they are a lot cleaner and we don't have to rely so much on our exo-suits? In the ending slides in the extended cut it shows Quarians without helmets so will Quarians be able to walk freely in Andromeda without a helmet or are the other races too jealous of our beauty?

It's probably too much to expect the lesser species to practice a little hygine and evolve a bit to be anything other than a bunch of gross disease carriers. No matter, our unparalleled technological prowess will enable coexistence with them, regardless.

I doubt this will happen without contrivances. The only way the quarians can be without their suits is by retaking Rannoch, which would require canonization of choices. Further, the only way this can be done in less than 60 or so years of readaptation and genetic engineering is if you choose the synthesis ending with the geth not destroyed, which also requires canonization of choices. I highly doubt this mission is launching several generations after the Reapers are defeated, meaning any quarians on the voyage will be subject to the same limitations as during the previous trilogy without some massive advance in medicine or genetic engineering.

This is a good thing, actually. The exo suits and how they affect quarian culture are among the most interesting things about the species presentation. Take them away and they end up being intelligent, attractive humans with an inclination toward socialism and eusociality, with slightly different bone structure and right handed protein chirality. The concept of a species that uses essentially a second technological skin by necessity is an interesting one, and one I wouldn't want to see disappear.

Right, I'm Bunz's alt with nearly 5000 posts and a couple dozen friends on here who have played ME3MP with me, and can vouch that I am, in fact, not a guy who takes public restroom selfies.

I think the stupid is to be found somewhere else in this forum, perhaps with those who continue to reply to threads they so ardently claim to be bait, not that I'm discouraging it or anything. I certainly don't find huge amusement everytime this forum froths at the mouth at a new glorious Quarian Princess thread.

The difference is I'm not a bigot who is mad at Quarian Princess's threads. She brings up some excellent points in favour of beneficial requests everytime she posts. If I for some reason thought her threads were bait and did not wish to contribute, I would do the rational thing and not reply to them, but then again I've a little more advanced thought process than the typical Bigot Social Network mouth breather.

Quite possibly they will wear helmets and suits. Not because of some deeper reason, but because I assume the developers won't create a new race appearance. They don't have something on the shelves already. Otherwise they wouldn't have resorted to a stock image and sold it as Tali.

Well, they are pretty good mechanics and adept at maintaining ships in space for a long period of time. That might be a reason why anyone would want to invite them.

As for them going, if the ARK really is there to provide an escape from the reapers, the quarians might send people with it just as much as everyone else.

I think they might have a section of the ship where they can be without their suits but per interaction with us they might wear their suits for protective measures. I will just flat out assume Ark leaves at the same time as Geth and Quarians make nice to each other. That will assume the Geth helped Quarians outfit a section of the ship for Quarian living space.

I hope to see quarians in Andromeda, and I hope that they still wear the suits, even if they are not required. Tali mentioned something about this in ME3, where the quarians would still wear the suits even if they were not needed.

 

OH! And do not change the look of the quarians. I'm very happy with how they turned out with Tali's photo (hate how it was a photoshop job though) and the quarian seen in the extended cut. Keep this look for them please.

 

Others will disagree with their look, but everyone has their own preference.
