There's an old saying where I'm from "Ta gueule c'est magique" aka TGCM meaning "Shut up , it's magic".
In this case well it's old elven magic , and it just works somehow.
Seriously , even in Thedas , with its rules of magic , you can't really explain it.
I don't remember any other case where you have a body destroyed and keeping part of the soul means the body can rebuild itself later without using a host or what have you.

The implications of this are way too much big..I asked this because she could have just as easily plan to gain the old god soul to resurrect the original Urthemiel
Never thought of that .
But I guess yeah it might be possible?

The litany is Mythal specific also it require a piece of Flemeth's limb that was in the amulet, there is no limb of Urthemiel since his body was corrupted

I thought it was the same litany to used for any elder in their "slumbering". In Uthenera... same lyrics as Leliana's song. More tied to Falon'Din than Mythal, per se.
I don't know how the elders woke up though. I could have sworn I read that they would die permanently, if they "decayed" in their sleeping state. Perhaps Mythal still had some living essence/cell material in this case. Or the amulet was some kind of phylactery with blood. /shrug
