In the DR world-state to resurrect that critter of the old god with the same ritual Merril did at the Sundermount?

She wants revenge (for Mythal) and fears the Blight. She wanted the Warden to do the Dark Ritual because she wanted to use Kieran in her plans, but changed her mind at Morrigan's urging (in DA:I).  According to DA:I datamining, her plan for Morrigan is

Spoiler

Apart from that, we don't know what she wants. She's had other daughters before (one of them lived in Antiva looking after dragons before Alistair stabbed her in one of the DA comic books), and Mythal was close friends with Solas, but apart from that it's anyone's guess. Dragons and elves are important is all we get.

I already knew those info, point is that i tried to find a reason as for why she wanted the soul of the archdemon

Since in DAII we saw that the body can be reconstructed from the soul provided that there is enough power (it is what Merril did to Flemeth) i think that this is what she did to the old god, resurrected him from his soul

There have been a couple of theories regarding about the souls of the Old Gods:

1. They were Mythal's old allies (ex. Forgotten Ones)

2. They were parts of Mythal (the Evanuris probably separated her spirit after she was killed; also, regardless if you killed her or not, she tells Hawke she placed a piece of her soul/spirit separately knowing that the HoF may come after her just in case).

What is known is that Solas was against killing the Archdemons (knowing their true nature).

Solas isn't against killing the archdemons,he just dislike the GW because he saw them as an order who act without the understanding of what they do.
But if you listen to his banter with Cassandra is clear that he does not care for the old gods that much.

Then again, Solas tends to lie by omission.

Flemeth placed something in the Eluvian. No one knows at this point what it is, though many assumed it's the essence of Mythal. You will get the same scene, regardless if you do the DR or not.
