lol

Cause I think Liara has a patent on that look. I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate the future of the Asari to all be copying her style or would she? A lot of Liara's was one of the most unique yet bizarre things to see. She was a human with little knowledge of humans but yet she looked more like one than any other Asari in the game.

In retrospect, they look so comical, and the freckles lol. No questioning Liara was cute hot even, but I'm curious if they are going to stray for this hallmark look with the next Asari crewmate and if so how much so? Neither Liara nor Samara/Morinth seemed to bare the more striking facial tattoos or makeup a lot of the other Asari women wore, and im curious the significance of such features.

They're still rubber-forehead aliens regardless of the eyebrows.

:P

I think the asari are a species that evolved along with the series. In ME1 they were obviously just there to titillate the straight male player. I think Liara's look and demeanor reflected this. We saw asari strippers pretty much everywhere. But by the time ME3 rolls around, I do think we're seeing a more rounded view of the asari, and to me that's where they become an intriguing (and my favorite :D) species. But... it's just that by that time, Liara's look was already canon, so. (Though notice how she acts less girly and swoony and sweet; she's more the sturdy and supportive friend/lover, the scientist, the Shadow Broker.)

As for the new asari, who knows. We've basically got a whole new team working on this game. Who the hell knows what's going to happen.

How about an Asari squad-mate that looks like she has seen some combat.  Like one with a scar on her face and wears a beret or similar military gear.

That would be bad ass :D

I really appreciated Aria's look. I think they made an effort to make her look a combination of masculine and feminine, from her face "tattoos" to her outfit.

The more important question is will the Asari be modeled with realistic body sizes in mind instead of the unrealistic body sizes that do nothing but give players meaningless fantasies and fat shame real people?

I just hope the Asari squadmate is not another forced romance, because I got tired of Liara's "romance" very, very, quickly. Look, I get it, Liara's a hot blue alien space chick, but I always preferred Tali and Jack.

So please, no forced romance.

Aria essentially also has drawn on eyebrows, they're just designed to be clearly intended as an artificial adornment. Which, since I think having something like eyebrows does a lot to help the face look good and expressive, is probably a better way to do it

Are they eyebrows or face markings? Even the asari lip colors... I was never sure if those were natural shades or if the characters were essentially using cosmetics.

I guess my headcanon is that everything we see is a natural face marking.

As a woman who is cursed with blonde, invisible eyebrows that need to be drawn on everyday before going out in order to not look like Voldemort......

I'm offended.

are you sure  you want the alternative?

Spoiler

my guess is they were there to help with facial expressions and emoting since Liara is the asari we were most going to be communicating with. Kinda like with Legion/VI and those face flaps even though no other geth had them and they made no sense.

Personally, if they wanna do that I'd rather they just do them as part of her facial markings/tattoos/whatever like Aria's.

Just give me a bad b*tch with a bad ass former-biotic commando back story. An asari with the attitude of Tela Vasir and Enyala, but the even temper of Shiala.

Face markings as the asari are hairless unlike us humans. Jelly of this TBH, waxing and shaving is a real pain in the ass at times.

Yes, please :) Although probably my FAVORITE asari was the no nonsense detective on Illium, Anaya. (Plus she was purple, my favorite shade of asari  :D)

 I liked Anaya as well.

I just want a different type of Asari on our ship. Maybe someone that clashes with our protagonist from time to time. As much as I love Liara, I just want a completely different personality from each species for our squadmates this time around.

Interview with Mac Walters  :)
http://www.gameinfor...PostPageIndex=2

Q: Some Asari have eyebrows. Some don’t. Are they born with or without? Or does it vary based on the individual?

A: Actually, they aren’t eyebrows at all. They are unique color patterns that vary for every Asari. We, being humans, naturally associate those particular markings with eyebrows, but the Asari don’t think of them in that way at all.

I love how mad Liara looks in that picture of her without her 'eyebrows'.

Meh, this is just one of the minor tricks to pull the strings of lesser races. I bet those Asari who mind trick Vorcha would also carve their teeth to sharp pointy fangs.

Put some cool tattoos in place of the eyebrows and call it a day.

They just need to make the "eyebrows" be groupings of darker scales instead of looking like they were drawn on with a marker.

But fat-shaming is my most favorite hobby.
