1) The Shameless Lady Killer.  He's a playboy (or an aspiring one) that flirts with every sexual female on board.  Member of a  primitive foreign alien race?  No problem.  It won't stop him.

Extra brownie points if he's from a conservative race like the Turians or Drells.

That kind of characters tend to be bisexual. Bioware can't separate bisexual and promiscuity for some reasons.

I would like to see aliens who don't fall under their own archetypes. For example smart cowardly krogan, and so forth.

A companion that turns the entire female population of the ship into eskimo sisters would be sweet.

"Agent Peacock" - the male character who exudes both combat prowess and an extreme sense of fashion and sophistication.

"Lady of Adventure" - Lara Croft in space.

A heavy-hitting, female "Blood Knight," preferably Vanguard.

Subverting expectations is nice. I think it is possible to do it in a way that's too on the nose, or too much just for the sake of it, but that said--I tend to really be intrigued by smooth talking/morally questionable Turians (Lorik Qui'in, that Turian con artist in the citadel DLC), shady/manipulative Quarians (certain members of the admiralty board), and imposing but well mannered Krogan (that guy who spoke to Shepard on Illium).

A grumpy, snarky but extremely efficient and proud medic/scientist/mechanic with a good heart under all the gruffiness would be quite interesting for me, and something I don't remember we had seen in BioWare games, at least recently that I can remember off. If is male, alien (Qurian or Dreel would be great) and romancable, well, I would be in love.

I'd like a true pacifist/diplomat too. Someone who is in constant struggle with the more crude aspect of militar life (if we have again a militar background/story) and have difficult at adapt to see death and fighting. It would be interesting for a new perspective on maybe a very pacific new race, or simply a civilian who have to be in our team.

Female Fatale - I need one. Morrigan, Isabela and Miranda were all awesome to romance. There's just something irresistable about the femme fatales.

Best Friend/ Loyal Ally - A game wouldn't feel complete without this squadmate. We all need someone we can kick back and relax with or discuss our fears with. I felt so lonely in DA:I without a best friend.

Comedic Relief - Remember Conrad Verner? Well, someone along those lines (especially if they were on the ship) would be great source of entertainment.

Stoic/Serious Warrior - This one never gets old. They're so serious and so disciplined that I can't resist poking fun at them. Cassandra and Sten can confirm.

A good villain - Seriously, not another Crapyheus. The guy sucked. We need someone like TIM or Loghain or the Arishok. Someone we are against but can also sympathize with.

Reversed cliche is still a cliche.

I'll be surprised if Bioware skips this one. We are invaders in Andromeda, you'd need to make natives some kind of space-nazi to prevent a player from sympathizing.

...Loyal Ally ..

Comedic Relief ...

How about loyal henchman?

- Genius decision, commander!

Squadmate #2 - By the Goddess, shut up!

I need someone to provide some conflict within the team. That person that isn't afraid to yell at me who I can yell at and then we can go for beers at the end of the day. Being called out on my bullshit would help.

I love this yesman idea as long as we can tell them to knock it off too. I'd be even better if this guy is after our job just to make it a little more fun.

so Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who...................I Do think it would be funny if Bioware would hire John Barrowman, actor whom plays Jack Harkness, for this role.

I came to see Miranda as a nurturing maternal figure on top of being a sexy ******.  She was the one that put him back together and looked after VegShep.

Mir watches over what you do in an annoying bossy way in ME2.  BroShep put her back in her place (which she secretly enjoys) immediately after they board the new Normandy for the first time.

I seconded this. They already have Gwen, Owen and Ianto. They better put Jack in this game.

Yes, that makes a good game better if the villain is someone you love to hate or can sympathize with even if they are nuts. Also having the lesser seen aliens join your crew by that I mean; Elcor, Hanar, keepers, Volus, Batarians, Vorcha and even a Varren. Also even having these as squadmates would be cool.

Lovable Rogue. Usually ends up being my favourite romance too.

I'd quite like someone who's a bit of a 'Cloudcuckoolander'. They say strange things that don't make much sense to anyone but them. Not all the time, but they just percieve things differently. I think that could be good for a new alien species, or a robot. They could also be 'The Gadfly' and sometimes just say this stuff because they know it confuses people and they want to see the reactions.

I'm also partial to a Team Dad/Team Mum, Inspector Javert, Reformed Criminal, Con Man, Deep Cover Agent (especially one that's spying on us and could betray us). An 'Inept Mage' type could be interesting if it's a biotic. Especially an asari biotic. Really good at something else, but crap at biotics. Obviously all this stuff is pretty one-dimensional, but they're all things that can form part of an interesting character.

you only need one point to make interesting characters to start cause you can't know who you are unless you know your past.

I hated T.I.M. he and all of Cerberus were secondary villains who puts the Main Villains in the back seat. I wanted Harbinger, I got Kai Leng.

Hardcore Heavy Metal magazine gay latino badass with giant guns who doesn't want a female BFF and cares only about dick and blowing everything to slag.

• Iron Maiden space enforcer female rambo with huge 90s hair who is armed to the teeth who just kills for the thrill without a sad backstory.

• A space Templar of some kind.

those three would be pretty rad

Kasumi?

Kasumi is a "classy cat burglar," but she doesn't quite fit the "Lady of adventure" trope. And she definitely doesn't remind me of Lara Croft.

I wouldn't mind seeing like a serious type person who also has their funny moments. Cassandra comes to mind and she was easily one of my three favorite companions in Inquisition.
