I'll have to think about some examples, but there's one nightmare I had that I will never forget. I don't know if it counts, since it was an episode of sleep paralysis, not an actual dream. It's when your brain wakes up, but your body is still asleep. You can't move, the brain goes into panic mode, and you start hallucinating. Mine happened to be an intruder who ran up to me after just standing and staring, and stabbed me in the chest. The pain felt very much real. Fun experience.
I've had a few random spells of sleep paralysis over the years. Thankfully, they've been rather mild, consisting mostly of a general buzzing tingliness around my body and a slowly dissipating pressure on my midsection. I don't tend to open my eyes during it either, which helps keep the hallucination aspect of it to a minimum.
