Ok I'll stick with Slam then for the time being and head to Omega.  Can I use both Inferno and Cryo ammo at the same time?

Only one ammo can be applied to Shep at a time.  This doesn't preclude switching them on the fly.  However, with the Vanguard, you're probably find you'll just set one at the beginning of the mission and leave it on.  You'll probably get more use out of Inferno ammo overall.  The soldier gets more use out of switching ammo around.  For example, with a soldier against atlases, I start out with disruptor to peel off the shield and then switch to incendiary to take down the armor, then back to disruptor to finish taking down the mech.  You can also set an ammo for some of your squadmates (e.g. I throw on Jack's warp ammo on any mission she goes on after she get's it.)

Not at the same time on Shepard. When using more than one ammo, you want to evolve one to a squad version, then use the other one for yourself.

For the Vanguard, Squad Cryo Ammo is good for the squad for some crowd control, and then using Inferno Ammo on Shepard. There are some CyoGuard builds that us Cryo Ammo on Shepard.

Just note that if you decide to use Shockwave, Cryo ammo and shockwave do not mix.

I should also note that you use Pull on an enemy, then he gets frozen by cryo ammo, the enemy will drop out of Pull early when he gets completely frozen.

thanks again Red.  After playing a fair bit of Omega, I decided Vanguard isn't for me.  I'm used to being ranged as I've said and this may be a bit too high-risk for me now.  At least on Hardcore, and that's what difficulty I want to beat the game on.  Sigh.  I'll keep that Shep parked there for now.

So, I think I'm gonna do Engineer or Infiltrator.  Only thing is, am I just spamming Combat Drones the whole time? I get their point but wondering if there's more to it than that.

And, Neural Shock for bonus power? Wish I had Dominate but I never kept Morinth around.

EDIT: Ignore this.  I'm gonna try Vanguard some more and not give up.  I really miss biotics so I think I'd like a build with them and gonna try for some Slam nukes at the beginning and start over.  I never got Charge evolved to rank 4 either so I may not have had a good test.

Also I'm wondering if I should switch to Veteran instead, just cause the Charge learning curve seems kinda high.  I kept dying on Mordin's quest cause I'd charge then 2 other enemies would attack me.  I know I'm a noob and doing it wrong.  also I think I need to use more than just the shotgun.

EDIT: So, I went back and started the class that I wanted to in the beginning, cause it's my favorite, LOL.  Took me a few tries to let myself do it.

ADEPT on HARDCORE.  Any tips? I'm kinda dying a lot against armored enemies in Omega.  Have Miranda and Zaeed right now.  My Singularity doesn't work as well from ME1 - I have to get rid of their armor and shields first.... ugh.

Looking for build, levelling and squadmate advice. :D :D :D

If you just want to get Dominate, save your game (or load an old one) before you trigger the showdown between Morinth and Samara, then side with Morinth and kill Samara. That unlock's Dominate. Then just reload the game if you want Samara and you'll still have Dominate as a Bonus Power in the Terminal inventory for good after that.
