With all the new heavy melee varieties that Mass Effect 3 multiplayer offered, do you think we should be able to choose which heavy melee we have, obviously non biotics wouldn't have access to the adept/vanguard/asari heavy melee.
But Soldier for example could choose between the default omni blade, batarian gauntlet, Krogan charge, sword, omni shield, vorcha claws (without the growling) etc

I made the exact thread not too long ago, I do hope they have melee attacks, especially one that focus on the ground as well. Something like RE5, when they're down, we can stomp on them or something or just get on top of them and go crazy.

I'd rather the melee weapons be kept to a minimum. While it might make sense for a krogan, elcor, and even an asari, it doesn't make a lot of sense for a human (the protagonist) to focus on melee combat. Mass Effect is driven by ranged weapons as it is a third person shooter and that should be the primary focus. I don't really see much point or value in fleshing out the melee system that much more as Mass Effect already offers more variety than most shooters do.
I still would not mind a lightsaber, trident, sai, or long dagger.
