I would like TWO romanceable dwarves, one male and one female, both bisexual.

(I think there is a chance Harding will come back and we'll get to romance her, but then, I also thought we were in with a chance when we heard Varric was coming back for DAI. After sixteen years, I am counting this as a crazy pie-in-the-sky request, especially since I would actually prefer a dwarf dude to a dwarf lady and we're unlikely to get both in the same game.)

These topics keep popping up: perhaps one should pin one of the many pie in the sky topics and keep all discussions on it.

Anyway, I already gave my pie recipe last year:

  • Like many others, I want to story to go away from Southern Thedas, at least for a while, but not the Anderfells, at least not immediately: bringing the Anderfells means bringing back the Grey Wardens, means tackling their internecine war hinted at the end of Inquisition, which in fine means digging deeper the "Warden Commander of Ferelden is busy elsewhere don't ask" plot hole. [That had been posted before Trespasser so, they already got one of the ingredients right]
  • I'd also prefer the next episode to not be as cameo heavy as the previous ones. Not that I want no cameos at all (they're useful to maintain a sense of continuity in the overarching story), but after Inquisition's overkill, they should tone it down a notch.
  • Make cities that feel like cities, using portrayal of places like Denerim or Athkatla as a template (Several neighborhoods made accessible but with a general map showing in no uncertain term that only a fraction of the whole city is visited)
  • An higher Main-quest/Side-Quest ratios: many optional places and storylines in Inquisition should have been made mandatory
  • A Main Character who's not a cypher. Blank-slates simply don't fit well in story-heavy games. Also, tie the character's backstory to the main plot: if there's one thing Origins did better than Inquisition, despite its silent power-fantasy of a protagonist, it's giving a sense of personal stake to their quest by binding every origin to the main plot: dwarven Wardens get to settle the score in Orzammar, Mage Wardens get closure regarding Jowan and the Circle, Cousland Wardens emerge victorious from the feud with Howe, etc... Inquisitors' interactions with their pre-Herald days are way too limited.
  • Better implementation of Banter. (All Hail the Banter)
  • A less triumphalist ending. I get that after the backlash which followed Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3's bleak conclusions the writers decided to tell a tale with a happy ending (Corypheus and his dragon pet get chewed down, everyone cheers, there's a banquet, Quizzy officializes soulmate by letting him/herself be dragged to the bedroom in front of everyone), but you can't tell the tale of a troubled age without a hefty dose of tragedy. [Once again: written before Trespasser]
  • Speaking of tragedy, no more schrœdingering past protagonists: the Hero of Ferelden died in Denerim... Or s/he's alive and well and keeping busy. Hawke died fighting the Nightmare in the Fade... Or s/he's in the Anderfells doing Maker knows what. Next time a previous protagonist make a cameo, make his/her fate a certainty, not the result of a dialog-wheel choice.

But above all

  • Bring back a Mabari teammate. [VERY Important! Also, the pooch better be more than an afterthought: I want a full-fledged side-quest line plus a potential romance subplot that ends with a kernel filled with puppies]

Dual specialization. Tempest Necromancer anyone?

Dual wielding warriors (axes or short swords)

A large army battle- at some point- even if I can only control my crew- working my way through a packed battle field would be chaotically fun

Set tactics for companions. E.g.- my SnS warrior always  does Horn of Valor,  then does a Charging Bull- then does a War Cry- in that sequence. Then AI can take over

More use of the terrain in battle tactics- choke points, elevation, ambushes, etc.

More varied armor skins

More varied weapon skins

Vitaar schematics

A choice for a Dystopian ending. I'm guessing not many players would have chosen this- but I would have loved a choice to side with Solas and become the big bad in the next game. Or even the choice to give Solas a free hand to destroy Thedas while I quietly retire to my estate in the Free Marches

More and varied specialization trees

I'm on my 5th or 6th playthrough and have discovered I am seriously crushing on Captain Rylon, I'd like to see what could be done to make his character romanceable. Cullen will always be my #1 dude, loved him since DA:O and if they brought him back as a romanceable character again I would be quite content, but I think Rylon (or a Rylon-type character) would make for a fun love interest.  Barris, Fairbanks and Michele De Chevin all need a little loving too.   :)

I also think about voice actors and who I'd love to hear in the game, I think Jodi Benson and Matthew Grey Gubler would be great to have voice party members.

A reveal that Dorian and Leto (aka Fenris) have a romantic past before Leto underwent his lyrium infusion.
