Tis funny you mention this because I've just started this quest on my current play through, and your right it is a beautiful place. It's one of my favourite quests in the game.
Well the first part is my favorite but the second part is not so much fun and then especially the tile part ( i know i don't have to do the tile part ) i do not like my companions there they are always in my way and "hold your position" does not work there

What is odd is how this beautiful area occupies a location very close to what you would consider the arctic circle of Thedas (since everything is reversed there with the jungles and equator in the north). The Korcari Wilds on the same latitude is a much less pretty place. So I wonder if the ambient magic in the area is influencing the appearance of the Arbor Wilds. It is clear that the Temple was originally part of a much larger city in the location, the ruins of which we pass through, so there could be residual magic there.
Mind you, I also like the Emerald Graves and when we are in the Exalted Plains, Dorian comments how it would all have been forest once, but elven settlements, an Exalted March, human civilisation and then a civil war have ruined it. Let's hope the Arbor Wilds retain their beauty now they have been discovered and the elven guardians have moved on.

Eh, looked like a generic '' exotic '' fantasy forest to me.

Oh me to i love the Emerald Graves that's the second area that i really love. And yes i heard that to that Dorian comments on the Exalted Plains and that that was a forest once. Yes i hope so to that the Arbor Wilds will remain the place that i have seen yesterday

Well i did What Pride had Wrought today and again yes it is a beautiful place. And after that quest when you talk to Cole when he talks about the real Cole if he could have saved him. And that he tells you that the real Cole had bruised hands from beating on the wall and that his belly hearts like knives and that his throat was cracked dry. And that he ( the Spirit Cole ) pushed through and that the only thing he could do was holding his hand and that the real Cole said "thank you". That always puts tears in my eyes very sad and moving cutscene
