How much fighting will we do from our space tank?
All the Mako action in the original game took away from the combat experience. Running around as Shep was vastly superior to driving and firing

I was sure that the Mako in Andromeda wouldn't be used for combat, I may be wrong.
But either way, many enemies and enemy placements in ME1 were made to be fought in the Mako. Hopefully it won't be annoying Thresher Maw 2.0 and two Geth Armatures 2.0.
We've only seen a weapon-less Mako in MEA, so probably very little.

Unless one of the custom options available is opening windows, so we can roll 'em down and run drive-bys.

You might have thought differently if you'd ever tried to crawl off a battlefield you could have driven off partying if you'd been in a tank
It will be like Arkham Knight.
It will be like Arkham Knight.
Maker, I hope so.

Really? They shoved the Batmobile so far down our throats it felt like a crutch they relied on instead of developing interesting gameplay.

They overused the thing, no doubt. I also hated how often it was necessary to progress in the game.
But that was partly because I'm really bad at video game driving. It took me about ten times to get past that part with the Knight's stupid drill tank.
Still, I thought it maneuvered more smoothly than most video game vehicles once I got used to it. I like it pretty well when I'm not essentially required to use it for long periods.
Not to be a downer, but I feel like the way the game is talked about that the Mako will be just like ME. You need to survey a planet and see if its worth settling and then clear out hostiles. That's not even a rumor at this point right? You are colonizing planets and trying to restore the human race?

That's still a rumor. Bioware has yet to actually state the details of why we are in Andromeda.
This seems like a small little wish, but I would love to see the inside of the Mako this time.
Never got to see the squad cramped inside the original Mako (especially with Wrex, sorry big guy)
I'm glad we saw the inside of the trucks the krogans use on Tuchanka in ME:3. Little thing, I know, but I love the extra detail in the design of the vehicles.
Outside of the highway chase on Feros I found the Mako combat pretty forgettable.
At this point I'd probably rather they just left it out anyway. I want to be playing Mass Effect, not Twisted Metal Online.

I have to agree. I mean I respect it's "their" game....or at least the people who worked there before this current generation of people there and they can do what they want, but as a supporter of all of the games and with most people I know not liking the Mako at all. I feel like they should have left it out, but if they say they want to put it in the game and improve this and change that and fix this and its going to be good then ok. If it flops this time it should not ever be revisited though.
Now if they want to put it in a PVPVPVPVPV arena mode in MP? Let's do it. 4 people in each Mako filling different roles.
We haven't seen any combat with the mako. That doesn't mean it won't happen, but BioWare has been really careful about what they show us. I wager it's going to have a few weapons, but we probably won't know until E3.

Considering ME has never been a first person game in any respect, I highly doubt that will happen. The mako doesn't appear to be that big either. It might be smaller than the original.

I think there is far more value in getting the Mako right than not using it at all. It has great potential. BioWare just implemented it poorly in ME1. Considering this game is putting such an emphasis on exploration, it only makes sense to have a land rover to travel in while going across undiscovered worlds.

I meant seeing the interior during a cutscene, like the krogan trucks on Tuchanka and the Alliance rover/trucks in London, not as from a first person perspective inside driving the truck.
It's my pathetic curiosity more than anything, having wanted to see the inside of the original Mako, I'd like to see a cutscene just showing us, no matter how brief, what the inside of the new Mako looks like ![]()
Video and producer description of the Mako makes it seem like a fast-response vehicle. I assume the base model starts off weaponless, and it's meant to get from point-to-point. Eventually, according to the leak, we can get upgrades. So maybe while in the mako we could: hover longer/higher, get speed boosts, a mounted cannon for defense, shielding, etc.

I suppose that's reasonable. In fact, it's probably quite likely as I'm certain the first time we see the mako, BioWare is going to hype it up with a really amazing cinematic telling us how great it is.

We have that. We see Shepard, Ashley, and Garrus inside the Mako during the Distress Call trailer for Mass Effect 1. It wasn't in the game sure, but at least we know what it looks like on the inside.

Really!!! How come I've never seen this before, must go off and find...
Thanks!

Cannot believe I've never seen that before!
Would be perfect were it not for Ashley (apologies, not an Ashley fan, her silencing Garrus just validates it further for me lol) and if we could have seen it in the game.
At least I feel now we're most likely going to see the interior of the new Mako in a cinematic in ME:A. Never liked not knowing the inside of the old Mako before.
Thanks again!
