Rogue: Lace Harding - Female Dwarf to switch things up, could be a romance for male/female Dwarves. Plus it brings back Ali Hillis to voice a full party member again.

Mage: Female Qunari - We had 2 male Qunari acting as warriors so this would be a nice change. You could make her character unique by making her a short Qunari (only as tall as a human male). Her height could be seen as a "disability" by other members of her race.

Warrior: Amund - The Sky Watcher Avvar that you meet early in the game. He could take over the Qunari's 2 handed warrior spot. He could also bring a unique perspective to your party and give us more information about the Avvar.

I could go for that.  With the amount of speculation about Harding I think we'd all be shocked if she wasn't in DA4.  A dwarf romance is much needed, for all races.  I liked the avaar guy, I'd be good with that, and yes, a female Qunari would be awesome.  Just as I hope for a female Turian in MEA, I'd like a female Qunari to give a different perspective on their race.

Plus Varric has to come back so I can romance him, just sayin.  ;)

Depending on the setting I could definitely get behind Harding and Amund, but it is doubtful we will see and Qunari Female's in the field that are not Tal'Vashoth.

The one we saw in "Trespasser" was a high-priest  or a buerocrat of some kind (considering the religious book on her shoulder) and is one of the rare exceptions. While they can be combat trained the Qunari military branch is almost exclusively comprised of males (with rare exception) and while females can reach a high standing within the Qun society it is not within the military, but rather become Political or Religious leaders so it is very rare for them to venture outside of Qunari held territory.

As for Tal'Vashoth, just about the only place we won't see them is probably is Qun held lands and maybe Tevinter (there are most likely Qunari in Tevinter but they are all probably slaves or war-prisoners).

Well I was thinking that because of her short height, she was viewed as flawed or unfit for the Qun. Either getting kicked out to fend for herself, or they tried to kill her and she escaped, becoming Tal'Vashoth. Both Sten and Iron Bull liked their people and viewed the Qun in a favorable light.

The Qunari female could hate the Qun and fellow Qunari because of their treatment of her.

Yes to the rest, no to the bolded. If they do that, they might as well make the dwarf female as tall as a human, which sort of takes away a smidgen of the purpose of playing a dwarf.

I'd like to see Finn and Ariane from the Witch Hunt dlc, there is a little text about them in World of Thedas volume 2

Spoiler

There's Fetch, the elven mage who appears in Leliana's Song dlc and in DA2, also during a war table mission.

Maybe Evangeline and Rhys too :)

I say definitely yes to Lace Harding i would like to see her as a companion. I am not such a fan of the Qunari and that Avvar character i say yes to put him in the next DA

Hmmm, I am curious what Inquisitor meant by saying that Inquisition would find new people (that Solas does not know). Amund can be recruited as an agent in DAI, so he is not a new person. Harding is a scout and Solas knows her too, that's why I am very sceptical when ppl predict her appearance in DA4. Also, you gotta realize, that Harding can be taken by Sera (if you do not romance Sera), so she would not be a romance option and Amund... as much as I like him...when I see him I am 100% turned off, so I doubt he would be romancable. And female qunari - awesome idea, but again...I doubt many men would love the idea of romancing a huge, 2m high qunari woman. A gay option then? Oh, and the reason why I do not think it would be considered a disability is because Qunari recruit all races and as IB said, they would not even consider Krem's case a disability. Romancing is a very important part of Bio games, so the companions should be chosen carefully. In DAI, pretty much every companion would be a great LI.

Ohhh true. Not sure if I am right, but are not Qunari seen rarely in the Fade. Solas can kill thru dreams so a Quari Saarebas would be quite resistant.

Quick correction. Harding doesn't end up with Sera (if Sera isn't romanced). That would be Dagna.

Not really, Qunari are known to be tall, take that away and she is still a Qunari, still taller than a normal non-qunari woman. We already had 2 towering Qunari as companions, im ok with switching things up.

Yeah, but it'd be awfully fishy if the first qunari companion they try to "switch up" in regards to height is the only female one... what would even be the purpose? Why not make her unique by giving her an interesting backstory, or broken horns (since Sten was hornless and Bull has a distinctive, unbroken set), or make her more muscular than the average qunari lady?

Since it is likely the next game is going to be based in Tevinter, the only real chance of a qunari would probably be as a slave or ex-slave.  Alternatively as a Tal-Vashoth mercenary but I don't think the Magister would approve of a Tal-Vashoth mage, although I suppose if they were a recent defector they might be interested in recruiting them because of information they could give about their enemies.

The Qun do not get rid of anyone; you are put in the role that best suits you skills, physique, etc.   A female Qunari mage would be a saarebas, regardless of height since the main thing about a saarebas is that they can do magic and need to be closely supervised.    If they were deemed a risk in any way they would be fed qamek, just the same as all non-qunari raised mages are and then just used as a mindless drudge.      A female qunari would be a variation of the males we have had previously.   Mind you they originally intended Iron Bull to be a female but then changed their minds.

I like Harding but I think it would make a bit of a nonsense of the declaration that they are going to use new people that Solas doesn't know.   Of course that could refer to activities down south and Harding could be sent north on an information gathering mission on the Tevinter war with the Qunari and get involved with the new PC that way.   Dwarves have a good relation with the Magisters so having a dwarf companion wouldn't seem out of place.

I don't think Amund would really fit a story line set up in Tevinter.   I know we sent that chieftain off up there but that was out in the wilderness; Amund would be a fish out of water in Tevinter society and would also be far too noticeable.

What I would like to see is a Rivaini wise woman as a mage character, or alternatively visit Rivain, as she could give more insights into that culture which has always sounded interesting to me.   A twist on that would be to have a male Rivaini, who left their country in the hope of better prospects in Tevinter, because Rivain is a matriarchal society and believe that women are best suited to rule.

I'd love to see a Seheron native. We've had Fenris (who dropped in for a while) and Bull (who fought for a loooong while), but no native perspective. Fog Warrior ftw?

Becuase it makes her unique, a broken horn doesnt make her unique, lots of Qunari can have their horns damaged, Mordin had one of his head protrusions missing. Her height could play into her backstory and there is alot of different stories they could spin off that (for example, rejection and discrimination by her own people, feeling insecure or less of a Qunari becuase she isnt what her race consideres normal) she could have a unique outlook on the Qunari. Being just another towering Qunari with a broken horn isnt interesting to me.

I don't see how making her human sized adds anything interesting. Why would others in the Qun judge her harshly based on that alone? The Qun doesn't care what you look like as long as you fulfill your role.

Welp, considering elves and humans aren't considered less Qunari despite not being giant grey horned people, I don't think that'd be much of an issue among her people...

We NEED a Saarebas. No questions asked.

A Saarebas would require an Arvaarad. Now, if the Saarebas is a huge ass female mage and the Arvaarad a small and lithe elf, I think they could have great dynamic. But if we only get a female "Qunari" mage, she won't be Qunari at all, just a Tal-Vashoth, and that would be terrible. honestly, after DAI and Trespasser, I would prefer that Bioware totally drop the ball on the Qunari. They don't want to make them playable, or even a faction the player can support (yes, I'm willing to bet that in DA4, it will either be "reform Tevinter" or "Keep it that way" but in both cases the Qunari will have to be crushed). And honestly, I felt that the Vashoth experience was such a let down in Inquisition that I don't want to go trough that a second time.
