This is the third time in a row this giant crab has been able to instagib me through a wall when I try and run away. Not to mention when I fall and revive myself I get stunlocked and instagibbed again.
I've been playing this MP thoroughly only for about a week now and I'm still fresh meat. But this is ridiculous, get rid of these crabs.
They weren't this bad in ME2. 
Actually in ME2 they were worse. They were able to shut themselves down in the middle of combat and regenerate barriers without taking any kind of damage what-so-ever. Not to mention the height they were able to reach , when they were flying around and hitting you with lazers. The collectors in ME2 would kick the living stiff<---not the real word..out of the ME3 collectors.

Fair enough, I remember their annoying barrier regeneration and the way they rushed at Shep. But at least when you fought them you weren't being swarmed by scumbag troopers and scions (except for the Ship)

Not for me, those things were lightweight for an Infiltrator. This games Collectors are worse with the Seeker Swarms and the Possessed Scions with their heat-seeking nades whilst a Prae-Prae tries nibbling on my face.
Anyways, I just needed a +1 approved post and I needed to vent away my probremz. I still hate these space crabs. Gud talk.

Actually, once you adjust to how these newer Collectors work,, they become the 2nd easiest faction. ( yeah, I said it BSN )

As for adjusting. My first gift character was a Kroguard and gift weapon was a Cerb Harrier. So, it's been versatile af on silver and maybe gold if my minions are remotely helpful.

Their 'mouth' region, which contains all those husk heads.
They take more damage and get staggered when you break those plates (strip the barriers and keep shooting there).
Furthermore, unlike other boss units, praetorians take 2x damage for headshots (others take 1.4x).

Just be glad that Crab can't teleport and dodge-dance for 90% DR. If it did, I would marry it for being the best a-hole troll ever.

Actually, Dark Channel does not penetrate through the bubble, if I recall correctly.
Still it is a great crab killer, I agree.
A stacked up reave (specced for barrier + armor) though...

good pic. You can shoot the shoulder armor off of the brute though. I guess they are easy to kill so its not a huge issue.
