I think the new IP is going to be a shooter (third person) or Andromeda will be getting a gameplay boost for guns.

I think you're obsessed about me and you obviously have issues that you need to address personally. Cause damn you don't have to follow me everywhere calling me names just because of what I said that you don't agree or expecting me to be like everyone else. And therefore you're a troll! Go bother somebody else with your issues.

Yup, you got me. On this public forum, where thousands of people of frequent, I replied to two of your posts and am therefor obsessed with and stalking you. Truly, I am in need of professional help.

Gameplay is one of the things Mass Effect 3 got right (relative to the trilogy)

I know right? I thought I was crazy when I explained that DA combat system sucked and how it can be better. Guess I wasn't.

You found a single person who agrees with you and at least four people who don't, and that's just in the last few posts.

I didn't say that they should get rid of the party system all together I mean make it optional of wanted have companions to travel with you or travel alone and not strongly focus on a party based game too much. If you like their style of gameplay that's fine, I still think they did a poor job on it though.

You can already do this. You've been able to do it since the very first game. In fact, there is often special dialogue recognizing the fact that you're traveling alone, which suggests to me that this is in fact a supported play style - one of many.

Whoa! I'm saying why not have options to choose to have control of what you want to do and don't have to feel forced. It's just my opinion dude.

The games you list earlier all basically have a single supported playstyle. Unless we have a drastically different relationship with words and their definitions, that sounds like the opposite of "options."

That said, I contend that you already have the choice insofar as you can choose to play a hundred other excellent games that do precisely what you want instead of changing one of the comparatively few (let's face it, just about the only big budget) RPGs that play like this.

And I agree that it's just your opinion. Does that make it immune to criticism when you offer it up on a public forum? I happen to feel at least as strongly as you do that your particular ideas are terrible (at the very least, incredibly uninformed and poorly thought out), and they would measurably harm the game. And you still haven't offered even a semi-coherent defense of of them.

By what metric?

A pre-gen protagonist makes every RPG worse.

Do you roleplay when you play The Witcher? I'll admit that I only tried the first Witcher game, but gave up quicky because of the monotonous combat and pre-gen protagonist.

And why exactly should everyone abide to your metrics of what makes a game/rpg good? :/

You know, maybe different people like different stuff, including their rpgs.

OK I'll do better creating my ideas next time and I know you have option to go alone or with a crew @ Dragon Age I meant why not do the same for ME:A. And I was only joking about the comment I made about people agreeing with me, I like to mess around at times. :)

This is nothing. It's corporate ra-ra jargon. Why would the Mass Effect team be looking for people for the new IP? Why wouldn't the Mass Effect team want to make the best game they can?

Because that costs money, and BioWare is only interested in maximizing their profits with minimal effort.

That's why their games looks so cheap.

Sylvy's ideas are geared toward a simulation rather than a game

They shouldn't. But I'd like them to be able to tell me what their metrics are.

Sylvy's ideas are geared toward a simulation rather than a game

Of the three major design philosophies--gamist, narrativist, and simulationist--I'm clearly a simulationist.

But BioWare are just as clearly narrativists. So if people are going to start demanding that BioWare focus more on gamist concerns, I'm going to argue my side as well.

I think BioWare should focus on gamist concerns I say why not?
