*snip*

As I said if there is 'twin brother' of this thread it is buried somewhere in here by all of well....you know which threads.

Anyway my point regarding that was that a person that complained was doing exaggeration regarding all of twins of mines in here. While they are some I'm sure(afterall all threads are clones in here from one another, that happens when there is no news for long), still they aren't at large number to complain about their repeat like romance/ hair/ speculation and troll threads in here. So as I said, that person should bark at those kind of threads first before saying anything about mine.

As for TW3 side-quests, many of them are done well but there are some that are always their to make you fall asleep for sake of being there xD

Enjoyable, engaging side quests are always welcomes as far as I'm concerned but then again I"m rather easy to please and would also be happy if we could skip the side quests if we wanted at as well, sometimes you just want to blast through the story for one reason or another but can't because you need to do side missions or activities that you find pretty dull. Didn't have so much of a problem of this in DAI but a lot of my runs needed breaks because I tried to do all the side quests areas offer me just about every time which makes the game dull pretty fast. Granted this could be true as well even if the side quests are good but if they're good and have different ways of going about them it'll make the replay value last a little longer imo.

Reason why it is hard to do DA:I side-quests is because as I said, they lack diversity and are little to no rewarding at all, plus they have no impact on world or story whatsoever which once more it makes you not wanting to do them.

DAI just had terrible quest design and terrible game progression in general. 90% of all the side content was generic, filler, of zero quality and total crap. You can't skip them, you have to partake in doing them doing to level up and increase the power of your inquisition OR you can do requisition an equally cheap and stupid mechanic designed to waste your time. DAI was in general a big time waste with not enough story missions.

We all hope MEA won't be like DAI but considering some of the leaks we know MEA is going to be a mash of Destiny and DAI. We'll all pray and hope for the best but in the end we'll be disappointed.

this much egocentrism just can't be healthy.

The OP is right. I bet you're one of these who love to post and demand on the stupid romance threads.

You'll have to explain the logic there.

I hate those threads too. When it comes to redundant threads I am drinking the haterade.

SOME side-quests are fun to do. Some side-quests feel like a chore/time-sink.

There are to be side-quests of course and they are very fun if:

-THEY ARE NOT GENERIC - diversity please! We don't need Preston Garvey Junior once more in another game.

-THEY HAVE CINEMATIC OR FEW- believe it or not this greatly helps improve atmosphere of quests and also people are more willing to take interest.

-THEY ARE ENGAGING LIKE MAIN QUEST - ^like above add cinematic or two related to that quest, make story actually fun and engaging so players care to take it. In DA:I there was elf woman who's husband was murdered by templars by mistake and while story is sad problem is.....it feels like another generic quest that you don't care to do because there is zero emotion in that woman whatsoever and the way she tells her supposed sad story just sounds like "I'm being possessed by Preston, so no emotions in here", pretty much her sad story doesn't sound sad the way she tells it. So yeah next time give a better atmosphere that doesn't scream "Be meh delivery boy/girl"...hell Bruce Wayne had more emotions in his voice then that woman who's husband got killed  <_<

-THEY HAVE CONSEQUENCES - There is nothing more worst then bothering to do some really really boring quest like sealing rifts for example in DA:I and trying to gather as many 'power' only to find out that you could have saved yourself trouble by not doing it because there is no consequence at all if you don't do any of it. This is seriously bad way of doing quest because right now statues, flowers, grass, clouds and etc. has way bigger meaning then your quest, because unlike your quest at least these ones are here to make game look more pretty.

-THEY ARE ACTUALLY REWARDING - ^Just like above, there is nothing worst then bothering to do some quest only for so called "reward" to be more useless then Cait Sith in FF7. So if you are to ignore all above of how "good side-quest" should be and if ti needs to be booooooring(read this in Deadpool's voice), then at least give me good reward that isn't some junk that you can't even sell.

-THEY ARE EPIC AND CAN BE MOST MEMORABLE THING EVER - Like this:

Yeah, I agree with everything you put. The problem I have with Preston is not really the quests he gives. Don't get me wrong they are just the same pattern of adding settlements and then helping the settlements you added, but the repeatable quests are just a way for people to keeping leveling up if they want to. The problem I have with Preston is that he gives you the quests automatically and sometimes he will give you two or three new ones after you turn in one. In a big open world game you are going to have 'filler' quests, it is inevitable. However, you also need quests like you mentioned, ones that stick with the player for a long time and in DA:I I can't think of a side quest, outside of companion quests, that did this. That is something they need to rectify in ME:A.

All of this is pointless, in the end there is only the void. Oblivion is the fate of all things all your hopes, dreams and wishes. All of the lessons learnt and your experiences.... they are all nothing. What was is gone and you with it in time. There is only the infinite darkness of the void. You are buried above ground in a tomb of flesh.

50,000 years from now no one will care about your sidequests.

DA2 endless meaningless & very boring sidequests pummeled me into submission. Main reason there's no way I'll ever see the end of that game. So no reason to buy DA:I and the rest since I'll never beat DA2. This entire series is now boycott for me.

Those fetch quests in ME3 were unbelieveably bad too. The worst of ME series. Liked the ones in ME1 best. Like the one where you hook up mako battery. Or the one where this guy locks you up and tries to blow you up. Then you escape and find your mako in another spot because they stole it. Stuff like this was very awsome.

ME2 sidequests were all lame too. Not enough action. Felt like one massive load screen with about bronze wave 1 of enemies to shot at. And some lame story. With each replay I hate these side mission more and more being a completest. And really. A whole side mission on just scaling some wrecked ship with not one enemy to shot? Lame.
