Ultimately, at my core, what really draws me to DAI, through our encounter with the ancient elves, are the powers that govern spirits, magic and all those 'very old' primordial things. Im so seduced by the archaic forces that are primary causes that affect history. There is a well structured order to the plane of reality that frames the world of the game. Quite unlike most games.
What i love about DAI.

Of course.
I mostly like the "necessary" introduction of the Titans.
The explanation of Leliana not staying dead after I chopped off her head.
Having the ability to play as a Qunari opposing to the lore. Becouse why not!
Not having to deal with the Mage-Templar war, which took most of DA:2 plot to build.
And as you mentioned, more ancient beings threaten the world. Who need nations interactions with each other?
Don't let me start talking about the game mechanics. Playing an offline MMO, so much fun all day long.
I love DA:I. ![]()

I'm a bit of the opposite. I liked the mysteries and the theological backgrounds of the races. Bioware has uncovered too much for the romance of curiosity to keep me invested these days, too much is revealed already.

But how long can they keep all that stuff a mystery? It's been several years and 2 whole games prior.

I like that :
the characters have personalities
the narrative is robust
excellent VAs
the dialogue and banter is witty
the game world is varied, richly colourful and big
the soundtrack
an improvement on movement ability
I'm grateful for :
fast travel (those who have played DDDA will know what I'm talking about)
many save slots and absolutely reliable (post DDDA experience)
reliable quest markers. Even if the marker is misplaced, it doesn't move about (post DDDA experience). Honestly play a RPG that can drive you insane with its frustrating flaws and you'll appreciate DAI even more. ![]()
now if Bioware would borrow the outstanding combat and class features from DDDA for DA4, they would be legendary.

When I first bought DA:I I thought it would be a two or three times a year game.. I've grown to love it and I am on game number five. I even place it on my storage rack and started a new game after taking it down to test design a female Qunari.
