Point is, it's probably just a name they wanted to use.
You don't have to be from France to have French blood. I've never been out of the United States, but I have German, Swedish, and Irish in me, among others.

I'm sure they took that into account. I actually am mostly French, but my name, first and last, is 100% Irish. I have 0% Irish in me.

when you make assumptions you make an a$$ out of you and umption. Also you may want to get a DNA test. Sometimes we don't know our own heritage. I may have something in me I didn't know I had. *sigh* that sounds wrong.I'm sure they took that into account. I actually am mostly French, but my name, first and last, is 100% Irish. First or last? If your surname is French you probably have distant French ancestry, even if it's well beyond living memory.
Some people of English or Irish descent have distant French (Norman) ancestry as a result of the Norman conquest of England, or later Norman military adventures in Ireland during the medieval period. Some modern English or Irish surnames are just Anglicized French surnames dating back to the Norman period. The common surname Darcy for example, is just the Anglicization of D'Arcy. (indicating originally someone from a town named Arcy, in France)
I've got some Norman ancestry in my English line.

Generally hair isn't important to me, either, but I do prefer darker hair ^^ Blonds for whatever reason generally don't do it for me, but there are exceptions.

It does sound wrong, hence the cough ![]()
Actually my sister did the "23 and me" DNA test to see where we're from, and no, there's no Irish lol I am mostly French. I'm from south Louisiana, so. Heritage and ancestry is big down here; we generally know who and what we are. My father's dad was his stepdad, and thus I have a last name that has nothing to do with my personal heritage (thanks patriarchy). And my parents simply named me after an Irish saint. It is what it is.
So you see, you made the assumption that I don't know my own heritage, but it turns out I do ![]()

That's just on my dad's side too. On my mother's side I have some Scottish and Spanish, with a little Native American mixed in for good measure.

it is normal for BSN to be creepy, weird and strange at the best of times and doubly so with social politics. so that is why I would post a Deadpool picture or two at times. Yes I am tempted to use one on this thread, but I am not going to derail until it is funny to do so.
