Obviously Mass Effect isn't the only game that gets us hyped. Just like the Dragon Age thread, I figure we discuss Zelda, Pokémon, Smash Bros., and other Nintendo IPs enough that they should have their own thread.

So, as we were saying in the main OT thread, Sun and Moon was announced for a Holiday 2016 release. I found this: I guess it's the first pokémon revealed for Gen 7.

Interesting. Is it just a regular pokemon? Or do y'all think it could be a legendary?

The thought of it being a legendary didn't occur to me, but it's possible. It doesn't really appeal to me either way, though. With any new generation, the things I am most eager to see are: starters, non-bug flying pokémon, and possible new eeveelutions.

Don't think there will be a Eeveelution this generation, since there was None in Gen 3 or Gen 5, normally they came in pairs, but Gen 6 broke that with a solo, then again they might break the no-odd gen eeveelutions and give us another.

I assume you've both seen the trailers by now. Rowlet is definitely my favorite. I hope they don't give him crappy evolutions.

Oh I'm going for Rowlet too, for sure. I'm hoping for a dapper owl in a suit for final evolution, but who knows. Y'all think the fire cat will be fire/fighting again? I'm kinda hoping for something new on that front.

People are believing the cat willl be Fire/ground with the water thingy being Water/fighting (seriously? gamefreak go away with fighting types in starter pokémon, we've had it for 4 generations!)

Sis! A dapper owl would be great! I heard some rumors that Rowlet will be Grass/Ground after it evolves, but I hope it keeps it's flying typing. The grass/ground type was already covered by Torterra. I also heard the rumor that Popplio will be Water/Fighting, which doesn't seem to be a popular idea. Litten looks like it should get a Dark typing, but so many evolutions come out of left field, so I wouldn't be surprised if they go a different direction.
