More delays and no news? What's really going on with MEA?

On the official DAMP faq page, it states that they created a special team with veterans from both the DA and ME franchises to make DAMP, including a bunch of different types of employees from the ME3MP 'team'. And DAMP is what they came up with. Yes they are different games and all that, but as pointed out the core design of DAMP was completely broken. Do you really expect they are going to learn from it and come up with something better for MEA?

Note: If I could get the quote or paste functions to work then I could quote and paste.

This comparison you insist on making is completely nonsensical. Why would the failures of the DAI MP be carried into the MEA MP? The team making MEA already had the winning ME MP formula with ME3. There's no reason whatsoever to think DAI MP will impact MEA in any way.

How is it nonsensical? As I've noted Bioware themselves claim that the same people who did MEMP did DAMP. They attempted to make DAMP in MEMPs image and utterly failed. Now they will make a second attempt. What is prudent to note is that they never acknowledged the shortcomings of DAMP. The fact is Bioware think they did a really great job with DAMP, and are therefore unlikely to try to avoid making the mistakes they made with it in ME&.

No, they very clearly did not attempt to do that, since the two MP modes are nothing alike.

Why are you even worried about this? It's almost certain that they're going to start with the ME3 formula and go from there.

DAI MP was a failure because it was a RPG, ME3 MP worked better because it was a shooter, to be honest I loved ME3 MP I put like 200 hours into it but only played DAI MP like 15 hours.

And I m not worried about ME Andromeda MP, they just need to take ME3 MP and make it even better.

Just because people worked on both doesn't mean they tried to copy it, to me aside from it being done in Horde mode there is very little in common between the two.

First, Bio will not admit that the DA fighting style is not amenable to modern shooter type MP action.  You should know that ".. Bioware think they did a really great job with DAMP,..." is plain BS. EA forced them to include a MP component because EA policy is not to greenlight a project unless a Multiplayer component comes with the game. I knew from the start, that DAMP would be weak because of the main campaign combat design.

Second, because the DA combat style is unsuited for MP, does not mean that ME:A MP will suffer. On the contrary, Bio specifically stated that ME:A MP is based on ME3MP and will feel very similar. It is a winning formula.

Why you believe they will fail is a mystery.

You guys need to read more DAMP hype. They referenced MEMP numerous times, and marketed it as being a fully developed and supported MP game.

The combat system, while inferior, was not the problem. People have listed the flaws again and again. The latency, the bugs, the loot system, the progression system, ...all these things are related to the way Bioware do games these days rather than the specifics of the game itself.

I wonder why it was pushed back? perhaps so it  could also be placed on  Nintendo's new console?

Probably because EA's release schedule for the last 3 months of 2016 is already filled.
