glorified human with blue skin is fine, tho.

top kek.

by your logic, it's cool if every species were glorified humans with different skin or eye color. At least the Asari have some weird alien squid crest going on. In the end, all that separates Quarians from being exactly like humans are their eyes and the way their knees bend. As a quarian fan, that's mighty disappointing. They could've got a lot more weird. A lot more "alien". The concepts in the Art of the MEU book were much, much better than what we got.

That Google stock image was a serious cop-out. Almost as if they theorized that they had to give her attractive (human) qualities in order to make Talimancers happy. When really, if you liked Tali up until that point, it didn't matter what she looked like. If you liked her this long (somebody living behind a mask), you liked her for the person she is.

Considering we've known what the Asari have looked like since the inception of the series, I don't think the two are comparable. Bioware could've had some balls and had an awesome reveal for the Quarians. Instead we got some random model from a Google image with photoshopped eyes and skin color, and the removal of a few fingers. There was no pay off. I would've much preferred their looks remaining a mystery rather than what we got.

I would've been happy if the appearance of quarians remained one of ME's great mysteries. Like how we (hopefully) will never find out where Yoda comes from or the name of his species.

I liked Tali's character since ME1 and through ME2, her appearance wasn't necessary. It's her personality and the VO work that got me interested. However, I have no issue with them looking human, I prefer it this way but I definitely understand where those who disagree come from.

The reveal of Tali was terrible. I still can not believe they used some image from the Internet and photoshopped it. A better reveal would have been in-game on Rannoch, after we side with or against the quarians. Oh well.

buttmad asari fanboi confirmed. Jelly that we have glorious flowing manes and real eyebrows instead of a seafood hat and something drawn on with a marker?

Concept art from Art of MEU/ME1 better? You mean like the one (of dozens) they actually ended up using?

"Buttmad" certainly describes you to a T. You hit the nail on the head. It seems you can't discern the difference between species we've had the luxury of seeing in the flesh since the very beginning (asari, turians, krogan, every other species in the series) AND your dear old Quarians who had us all wondering what they looked like under those helmets, anticipation building up over the course of 3 games, only for the reveal to fall flat.

Note that you have the wrong art book/image. You lose. Again. And I think I'll stay awhile.

It's gotta be super hot in those helmets. Everyone wants to know the mystery behind the mask, and how quarian hair sweat smells/tastes.

No, no, I do NOT want to know this. Wtf is wrong with you?!

The Quarians may be retconned for all we know. We only saw Tali and many people were disappointed by it so I doubt it'll stick.

Either way the Asari are still going to be dullard blue humans with Cthulhu's schlongs as hair.

The Quarians were described to look like how we see them in ME3 since before Mass Effect 2 in one of the books.

Ah well, rubber-forehead aliens are a no no and they should be retconned. The Asari should as well but that would mean overriding many peoples waifu fantasies.

Is this the part where you tell us how many alien friends you have?

If you did care about them at all then you would want to know more about them as a whole.

I like turians well enough, but if I ever caught my daughter coming home with one, you can bet your Qun-y ass I'm roasting some bird tonight.

Quarian shouldn't have hair, and honestly their entire design should be redone. That chappy Tali stock photo should not be their official look.

Why? I'm sure he'd use protection and bring her back relatively unchafed and undextrosed. You scared because you know that turians have that reach and would tap that tight narrow human a$$ on the first date ?

Spoiler

Not everyone read the books, and not everyone that read them cares about them overmuch.

Also, a text description is open to interpretation, a stock photo much less so.
