In your opinion.

Which is superior to your own in my eye.

Which means that in any matter of opinion, mine will win out.

In closing? If I believe Jade Empire to be a better written narrative, have a overall superior story structuring and a much better sense of plot pacing...I totally will, especially given that it doesn't fall into the pit that ME does in which Jade Empire is a self contained story with nothing beyond, Mass Effect is a self contained story they tried to turn into a series and it failed utterly.

So yeah, in my opinion, which you have no chance of changing.

I have no intention of changing your opinion. I only suggest your opinion is likely inferior to the opinion of the majority as ME is BioWare's most successful IP to date. DA and JE, combined, still don't reach the same level of success or impact that ME has achieved. JE was a very fun game and I enjoyed it, but as I stated earlier, you will be hard pressed to find many that will consider JE to have a better story than ME, KotOR, or DAO. As far as the series having "failed utterly," look at the numbers and sales and it paints a very different story.

That won't be hard to achieve as Kain Leng was shoehorned into the last game as an excuse to keep Shepard busy. He was never a focus, so Ryder being better wouldn't be that difficult to pull off.

That is - fortunately - very true.

According to the majority COD is one of the greatest franchises ever crafted and Mario hit upon a unbeatable formula.

I have no interest nor inclination to talk about 'majority', because things like sales numbers mean absolutely nothing to me because its only indicative of success on ONE front and that is selling the game.

Revan Reborn believes ME3's ending was a subtle masterpiece and that those who don't agree are simply unable or unwilling to read into the subtext, if I recall previous conversations correctly.

Just so you know who you're dealing with...

Ah, just like the RE6 Apologists then, alright.

You don't have to talk about the "majority" at all. I was merely suggesting your opinion likely holds very little value to the "majority" as that is who BioWare cares about. They aren't worried about the obscure outlier who thought the ME trilogy was horribly written.

I don't believe I ever claimed that at all. I merely make it a point to inform those who did not understand the ending of ME3 at all. It's far from perfect and I think Mac Walters did a hack job personally. Thanks for the compliment, however. :)

Lets not open that can of worms that the ME3 ending represents lol

As for Revan Reborn, Man you need to calm down there. People are allowed to state their opinion and you seem to get offensive everytime someone says something against your opinion with their opinion. If you don't like hearing other peoples opinions then why do you visit the Bioware forums and activitely post on here. BSN is known to have people who will likely not share the same views as you.

Also as far as Ryder being the Antagonist, if thats the case I would like our character and Ryder to have history together. History together so deep that Ryder could possibly be your characters old fling or something like that. But hey the point is history together that really makes this personal for your character.

It seems to me you have answered your own question. If I didn't care to hear the opinions of others and if I was becoming so "defensive," why would I be here? Perhaps because you are wrong on all accounts? I am here because I want to discuss the game and hear the opinions of others. I am also not getting defensive, rather I disagree with comments that are either baseless or dispute the premise of the OP without merit.

While we don't know anything conclusive just yet, I do believe one of the ways of making a compelling antagonist is for us, as the protagonist, and the antagonist to have some sort of connection and common ground. If we have a relationship of sorts, that makes the schism in the relationship that much more meaningful and personal.
