Because.... boobs. Otherwise players wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Edit:

In nature there are other possibilities that can be used by the dev team to show gender differentiation,

such as size, color, body markings, and texture dimorphisms, as of course is attire. Advocating for only

breasts as the way to tell the difference, and exposing them for your prurient gazing comes from the

simplistic adolescent viewpoint. There is a 23 Billion dollar industry out there to satiate one's salacious

passions.

That's the common desire by members to see such simplistic gender differentiation: big breasts. Matriarch Benezia sure had herself hanging out there.

.

People always say this stuff like its a bad thing.

The female turians are a good example. They don't have breasts, but you wouldn't mistake them for the males.

I wonder what scaly boobs feel like...

Do you goblins have scales?

They do in World of Warcraft, and i don't know of any other fantasy settings that has female Goblins in them. Fair enough Lord of the Rings could have, it is never touched upon. Warhammer certainly do not. So what about Forgotten Realms? These are the important things we need to know.

If there had been female Uruk-hai, I bet they would've had boobs.

What does that tell you about their kind of, ahem, IQ?

Runescape? There's a significant quest line starring a female cave goblin named Zanik.

Yes, I confess that I still occasionally play that game.
