Good afro texture is the hair type we've never actually had. Any color.

Oh, I see the pattern. We've gone through all the hair color threads, now we'll be going through all the hairstyle threads. What then? Clothing styles? Accents?

I am guessing it's quite hard but they should put the effort in, I have very curly hair so it would be nice to see something at least close to my hair. Also afro textures very rarely show up at all in video games, so ya know representation and all that.

A general rule of thumb for all Bioware games is that hair textures will look bad, regardless of color or the ethnicity of the character it belongs to. Granted, some do look worse than others. Hair is something Bioware has always done poorly in comparison to other developers however.
Expect it to look bad in Andromeda, but hope for improvement.

This is a valid concern for people such as myself. I am a black male. For the past 3 years, I've had an Afro and now dreadlocks. When creating myself or a character like myself, it is very difficult to find hair that reflects my people. I would love dreadlocks in ME:A, or even a (well done) afro.

All Character Creators should have afros for both genders available in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Funk.
Now I can't wait to see if Francis Kitt comes out with a remake of "Hair" featuring an all-star Pyjak, Volus and and Elcor cast.

Some styles I like, some of em probably wouldn't work but oh well.
**** like this is why game devs let modders create extra hair textures. There's way more hairstyles than there is time to create them in your game. So, as a game dev studio, you pick a few and have your artists create those few.
Oh, and never mind how a hairstyle like this is COMPLETELY impractical for combat or exploration on/of alien planets.

Pretty much everywhere, at least regarding afro hairstyle.
I rarely found personally game with character creator that actually had some decent afro. I don't know why they leave that hairstyle always out or least important I consider them fabulous and fun hairstyles because they are very unique looking.
