What if the next game was set 80 years after Inquisition in the "Wolf Age"

Everyone gets their Trespasser ending and the new trilogy starts fresh without the weight of the original games choices. Don't think it would happen but who knows.

If it's 9:44, and the next game is 50 years later, then it would be 94 Dragon. Still the Dragon Age.

Funny topic. Here's my 'not to be taken seriously' idea.

Maybe Solas plans to wait until the Inquisitor and all others who know about his plans are dead. However someone betrays him and tells the Inquisitor about this plan. Then Dorian and Inquisitor use time magic to travel to the future. I think 50 years is not enough. Maybe 100 or 200 years from now?

Now, what would Dorian and the Inquisitor witness in that distant future? Magic beginning to truly die out from the world, the qunari having finally conquered weak Tevinter and threatening rest of Thedas? Another Blight slowly beginning and darkspawn destroying Orzammar itself? The dwarven race going extinct? What about the other world threatening things like red lyrium or the Titans? Or Grey Wardens, their Order might be gone entirely this time and nobody remembers how the Archdemons were defeated. Dragons would be either attacking villages and cities, feared and hated, or enslaved by the Qunari for their own purposes. And what about the elves? Would their condition have improved over the time or would it be worse than ever? Maybe even slavery would once again be practised in the South. The remaining Dalish being wiped out completely by humans. The Chantry would have lost all its political power because people would no longer believe in the Maker or the Chant of Light. Chantries abandoned or burned down. Horrible wars would be fought all over Thedas and millions would die. The few remaining mages of the world would be more prone to rely on blood magic to increase their vaning powers and even more vulnerable to possession. People would be greedier than ever and no longer care about anything but their own wealth and power. There would be extreme poverty and the rich would rule with an iron fist.

Corruption is spreading quickly and the destruction of the world is near. Time is running out.

Now, how would the Inquisitor and Dorian react when they see what the world has become? What if in truth it was Solas who send that agent to warn the Inquisitor? What if he knew that they would use Dorians knowledge of time magic to travel to the future and it was indeed Solas's plan to let the Inquisitor see what the world will inevitably become? That this would his one last attempt to try to make the Inquisitor see things his way? How would the Inquisitor react? Would they come to the realization, that maybe Solas was right all along and this world is not worth fighting for... or would they continue to believe that the world could still be saved?

I wouldn't want something like that now, but at the end of "the Dragon Age" I'm all for having the next installment take place in the next century or so...

If that were to happen, then after visiting the future, I would return and say to Solas, "Telanadas" (Nothing is inevitable).   "Now let's work together to make sure that doesn't happen but not by taking your quick fix of ripping down the Veil but with some intelligent thinking."     Essentially, none of Solas' plans have worked out as he intended because he was too proud to accept help and thought he was the only one who could fix things, so now perhaps he should start trusting people a bit more.

The plot from here on out seems much more dire and fundamental to Thedas' nature (all the problems we dealt with before were symptomatic of the Veil (Blights are the legacy of those who lusted after the Golden City in part because of the mystery the Veil made of it, mages and templars obviously Veil related, and DAI is all about the Veil). I feel like it is entirely likely that dealing with the Elvhen who want to destroy this world for their old world will happen in the Dragon Age, as it has been established that Dragons were once more awe inspiring in the pre-Veil world (Flemeth's daughter in the previous comic series), so the symbolism of the "Dragon Age" is in part kind of like if we lived in the Dinosaur Age on Earth, implying a return to the state of things when those entities were at large. So, I think eventually, either in DA4 or DA5 we'll learn about the end of the Dragon Age, but I think the symbolism of the Dragon Age in the first place was always meant to focus on Elvhen stuff, as Elves and Dragons seem like they had some sort of history together. Putting on my speculation glasses: I think the final confrontation with the Evanuris who want to tear down the Veil will happen at the end of the Dragon Age. The next age will likely reflect what the next challenge is, as it has been implied now that the Evanuris might have only affected the small section of the planet we call Thedas, and that beyond their reach the world is less hospitable and "stable," with potentially different threats to Thedas.

Doubtful, seeing as it seems Weekes said if DA4 is made, it will conclude Solas' story. I would love to see a glimpse into the past though, get to see wtf actually happened to Mythal and why the elves were so terrified about the Deep Roads and I want to see what the Evanuris look like.

"Solas knows everything about us. Who we are, how we work, our strengths and weaknesses..."

"Then we find people he doesn't know"

*stabs map on top of Tevinter*

*timeskip eight years in the future*

...WHAT?

Tbh, I would like a prequel. I'd play the crap out of a story that takes place in Arlathan, or during Andraste's lifetime, or during the Fourth Blight. GRIFFONS!
