NWN2 was installed and patched as per the guide. When I try to load any module the game crashes to desktop at anywhere between 50-99%. I've only tried the main campaigns so far (OC, MotB, SoZ). Thoughts guys?

How much free space on your C: drive? The patching & the game itself rely on the temp directory, which by default is on the C: drive.
Have you tried running it as administrator?
If you look at the properties of the launcher icon > security tab, does your username have full control?

Full admin rights. I switched my temp from \C to \D to stop windows clogging up my SSD (since im on Old vista with no SSD support) of which there is at least 1.3 terabytes left. The fact that the game loads but just won't load any modules leads me to think It might be a runtime error / .net or a DX issue so Ill try reinstalling all of it!

*edit* You can probably close this down now. I reinstalled DX9.0c, the .NET architecture and the visual VC++ redistributable and it seems to have sorted the issue. I guess the newer version don't have all that the older versions had and that was causing the issue
