Not sure if serious.

Cutscenes are fine.  But we're not watching a movie here.  Players need to feel in control of their own characters.  When "flow" undermines that, people are going to get p*ssed.  And they are right to do so.

Agreed. Mind you, there's some autodialogue in the previous games but it wasn't as numerous as ME3's. If the pc was a predetermined character like Geralt, and Adam Jensen i wouldn't care about any lack of options since you had little or no control to begin with.

Plus, in terms of cutscenes, having the camera zoom in on your pc's face as you choose your response is incomparable to watching your character having a back and forth convo with little player input.

I'm betting serious, but it's a stupid way to respond to Joseph Warrick's post, which was itself a direct response to the dopey graphic 9TailsFox put up as an attempted comeback. Unless 9TailsFox is being ironic and knows that the graphic he posted is nonsense, but that seems unlikely given his posting history.

I'm tempted to repost the Joseph Warrick post as a response to 9TailsFox. I suppose we could keep the loop going forever.

It's Schroedinger's post - a superimposed brilliantly satirical and completely honest statement.

I agree with everything except that I do disagree about Paragon and Renegade alignment affecting autodialogue and the wheel because I can see ways where that could cause inconsistent characterization as well as limit roleplay. One situation may call for one response from the player but another situation may call for a complete different one.

I especially agree then I play with my sith warrior. He is nice to his friends and companions like saint. And evil psychopath to enemy's. And it's really hard to play something like this. Mostly you saint to everyone or spawn of evil destroying everything in you path.

SWTOR hardly is a good example. You could be a light side and choose a renegade dialogue randomly and people immediately call you a b1tch even while you're amicable to them from the start. And the influence level system doesn't require you to be constant in favor with them. At least in ME, the game remembered who you are and the dialogues respond to that.
