no i have the same problem. I've recently re-installed the game and all my dlc hoping this would fix this.
but now it won't even let me login.
a few months ago i could play without trouble then i stopped for a few weeks and since then it won't let me login to cerberus.
[edit: i run on win7 64]
so i thought a re-install might fix the issue but no..
now i get the message that it can't authorize (?) any dlc > prompt to login.
ha. i wish i could.
this is somewhat troubling since i really don't want to use some semi-legal method to get it to work.
anyhow.. maybe some sort of fix comes along sometime.
ahh by the way.. i tried the ecn "fix" but that didn't do anything.
would kind of suprise me anyhow since i didn't change anything since my first install (which was january or february)
we'll see

I had issues getting Cerberus network to work so I could validate Kasumi dlc I also couldn't login into Dragon Age Origins seeing as the login button was grayed out, I have a PC and use windows 7 so I hope this will help vista/Xp users some what.
Go to control Panel,
you should see the search bar in the top right
type: Windows Features, Programs and Features should pop up,
select Turn Windows Features on or off, you should see a box blocked it for Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1
select the plus sign and check the box for both windows communication foundation HTTP
Activation and Non-HTTP Activation,
press ok and give it a try
Hope it works for you like it did me, best of luck.
Hmm, this seems like it would work, but will have to see if anyone else is helped first.
It worked

I can login to the game but when I put in my cerebus network key I get a interrupted message.
any more ideas about what can be done?
Oh, I could do the one with the host file as the only one on my computer was a template explainging how the host file worked.

None of them worked.
But after I took the steps that make me remove every line starting with 127 or has EA in it in the hosts file it now gives me the error message after 30 seconds instead of after 0.3 seconds:(

More annoying than this issue is that I start up the game today after installing Overlord, Blood Dragon (which a friend didn't want and gave to me) and the Aegis pack to find that I have somehow lost my achievements, which is a pain in the ass.

Every time I start up the game it attempts to auto-login. It then tells me it couldn't connect. I then have to manually enter my information, at which point it works and all the DLC is authenticated. It's not a major bug it's just a hassle that the auto-login option has seemingly stopped working.
Silly question maybe but I couldnt find the option anywhere to enter my information manually.
In Options Online I checked No to auto login to EA, but it still doesn't ask me to manually enter my information, how do I get the game to ask me this?

So... Could it be that it's not a Bioware problem, but a connection problem, since it doesn't recognise ME to be connected to internet?
EDIT: BTW I'm usin windows XP Pro SP3

I'm currently talking to EA technical support via email but nothing has come from it yet. They offered to move my DLC etc to a new account but i know that wont fix the problem due to the error appearing before i can even log into the network.

It also can't authenticate some DLC (reinstalled everything!), and askes me to connect to the cerberus network, well obviously it wont when i start the game, im not a computer genius and these thing seriously p*ss me off.
And why use cerberus network anyway?? once i download my content and installed it why do u incompetent programmers INSIST players to connect to the G*D D*MN network, im not playing a online shooter or multiplayer online game am i ?? im done with bioware games scr*w u all.

Yes after Aegis DLC the cerberus network says **Communication with the Mass Effect 2 server was interrupted or has timed out. Please try again later**
Then i get **Unable to authorize the listed DLC, please log in to Cerberus Network with the account used to purchase the DLC, Kestrel Armor and Incisor rifle**
I just finished ME2 few weeks ago (2nd time) without problems ever, the Aegis Pack is where it went wrong.
But the thing is, they tightened the screw against piracy so bad that these are the problems u get, Mass Effect 1-2 and Dragon Age are just a few original games i have (wel worth the money) but these thing make me slightly ..agitated

I tried all of the fixes mentioned in the thread (although I don't know how to open ports I figured if I disabled my firewall it should be ok - I'm running ESET Smart Security)
- disbaled firewall
- cmd fixes
- hosts file edit
- the Framework 3.5 fix
- even tried to connect to the internet through another ISP
It's driving me nuts!
Can anyone help please?
Edit: I dowloaded DLC from the site not cerberus network, since I can't connect to the bloody thing
