They are awful things, whoever came up with the idea should be shot. They are an excuse for lazy mission / story telling and do nothing but cause frustration and break immersion.
So I fully expect them to be in ME:A.

QTE = Rubbish IMO. Having to push YBXXY Is immersion breaking at best a pain in the bum at worst. I would prefer game play skill tests that are not such an obvious disconnect.

You could make an argument of the interrupts being optional quick time events
Yes, you could... but it's a BIG step up from having to use a silly mindless minigame to unlock 100+ crates in the game and explore 100+ rocks and raid the same dried up corpse throughout the game and also for collecting from turian and asari wreckage (ME1) or using one of two minigames only to hack everything from crates to doors in ME2. It just gets too repetitive regardless of how well the game is set up.
I was OK with the P/R interrupt... would have preferred if it NEVER awarded any specific P/R points but rather if the cutscene/action was left as it's own reward. I was OK with the dialogue path preceding it determining which interrupt appears (as with Veetor on Freedom's Progress, for example). It was also a darned sight better than having the player repeatedly mash X (or another key) to work their way out of an attack or undo a lock (e.g ACIV and ROTTR). I would prefer they just not incorporate one-time "special" movements required to advance the game through QTEs.
I do like puzzles and minigames that are well done, not overdone, and fall at least somewhat within the context of the story (e.g. ACIV's varieties of checkers and ROTTRs optional challenge tombs). They can be complex or not, but I like context and variety. On that note, I was absolutely fine with the shooting Pyjaks game on Tuchanka and the various gambling games presented throughout the ME trilogy. I would have liked it better if they had of broken up the access to the gambling games so that something was perhaps available in each bar Shep visited rather than lumping them all into the Citadel DLC, for example. I was also OK with there being a combat sim in ME1 and in ME3 since there was context in that some soldiers do like to do combat related games in their free time and going through it in the game was completely optional. I think it was better received when it was part of a larger DLC than when it was it's own DLC (but that's a discussion apart from the minigame theme, so I'll drop it there).

Now that the Namco-Bandai patent has expired for mini-games during loading screens, AAA games need to start adding them in. I'm honestly surprised we havnt seen one AAA studio add one of these in since it dropped several months ago.
ME:A should really look at adding something in like this!
It seems like in the past EA was actually licensing this from Namco, if you look at the Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.../Loading_screen
Recent EA Sports Games have "warm up" sessions, for example FIFA 11 has the player shooting free-kicks solo, NBA Live 10 has 2-player shootouts, while the game loads. NBA Live 08 features a 4-player general knowledge quiz. MX vs. ATV: Untamed lets the player partake in a free-ride session on the test course.
So now they could have mini-games like this during loading screens but not have to pay any license fee.

I love minigames and short puzzles (like DAI astrariums) but QTE and colony construction/management (Fallout4) can burn in hell. I dropped playing Fallout specifically for the annoying colony system demanding time and patience that I don't have while gaming.

No QTE and no minigames. I absolutely hate those things.

I'd kind of like to see some mini games that are purely there for fun - as in not linked to gathering resources/opening doors etc. Like in ME3, did anyone else want to be able to join in the pokers games? Something along the lines of Quasar but better, or like the Gwent card game in Witcher 3.
It's not a deal breaker or anything but could be a nice little extra for when you want a break from shooting stuff.
it killed me that we had a poker table, and no poker.
I didn't mind the hacking mini games and shooting pyjaks and whatever those ones were in the Citadel DLC. That was fun stuff. But God of War style QTEs would be poopy.
Those kinds of little things in games are what can make the difference between an 8 and a 9.

As far as constructing a base, I don't know. Skyhold in DAI was underwhelming.
"Do you want a mage or templar tower?"
Templar please
"Here is your templar tower"
huh? it just doesn't have a hole in it and there is like 2 Templars standing next to it.
"Yup, thats the super important new central hub for all templars"
Oh...
"Do you want the inquisition to be specialize in combat or medicine?"
Combat please
"Here is your small sparring ring with 2 guys sparing and one dude watching. Your organization is now super military and well trained but this is entirely cosmetic and changes no gameplay, interactions or perks."
Oh... what if I picked the medicine?
*googles the medicine option... "you get three beds that don't get used"*
"Do you want the courtyard to be dedicated to the chantry or a beautiful natural garden?"
*googles options... Chantry gives you like 3 statues and some nuns standing around... Garden gives you two flower pots"
Like it doesn't have to change the core gameplay, but I want to notice/feel my construction choices. Like military perks if I dedicate it to military operations. if I want it to be a commerce hub, maybe I get sick discounts and a trickle of money. etc.

A single QTE made me quit playing the 2013 TR for 6 months as it pissed me off that much.
The wolf cave? ^^ Yeah, that part was so stupid, I had to take a break from the game. Somehow managed to get through after 9 tries or so... but still... ugh. Some of the later ones were still aggravating, not to mention resulting in very graphic deaths... but that first one took the cake.
QTEs are usually a sign that the devs didn't know how to make their game mechanics were properly in that situation or they needed to force the player to make specific (stupid) actions for the narrative to work.
Mini games... it depends. I'm not opposed to things like shooting space fighters with a turret like in KotOR (if they don't happen all the time, fit into the story etc) or optional gambling like in the Witcher or the pyjak shooting in ME2. What I dislike are mini games like ME1's decryption or ME2's bypassing because they interrupted the pacing. There's also the issue that I'm not a hacker or locksmith, my character is. So my characters gets to do it and I'll put up with a short animation before moving on like in ME3, where BioWare finally did bypassing/hacking mostly right.

Actually it was the one where the guy tries to.throw you off the bridge (before you climb the comms tower). I just couldn't do it and gave up in disgust.
I only went back when I saw ROTTR was coming and I wanted to finish off.
Hateful, hateful things.
Also regarding minigames in loading screens - what's a loading screen?
