We don't know yet but I don't think so. Not after the ending catastrophe of ME3. More here...

Yeah. The ending to ME3. Did you see the ending to ME3? ME3 has an ending. You should see the ending to ME3.

Then you'll realize your question isn't very relevant.

Dude, what? Tiny spoiler: Shepard ****** dies in the endThat's why importing saves of any kind would be irrelevant to Andromeda.

I can't think of anything that would make importing worthwhile. We are moving to an entire new galaxy. We aren't bringing planets with us. We aren't bringing every single character from the trilogy with us. The only relevance would be found in tiny comments or codex entries, and those would probably be few and far between.

You can repent here and now and restore your soul to glory. Give me all your saves and it'll be your salvation!

Shep Breathes in their ART

A much larger reason against imports is the fact game is set in Andromeda, hence making them irrelevant.

I love the trilogy, and being able to import my saves to the next game so that my decisions are respected.  BUT Mass Effect badly needs a clean slate, that's what Andromeda represents.  To load in any decisions would instantly compromise that.

Besides, just think what BioWare can do with a new fresh page to write their story on, with no doodles left over from previous games that they have to work around.

Not always, of course.

What could possibly be worth importing?

You won't be able to import actual saves from ME3 to MEA. However, it is possible Bioware is doing something similar to the Dragon Age Keep for Mass Effect. So your ME3 save would be imported or recreated in there, and then that can be imported into MEA.

I hope not, imports only work for so long before it becomes a garbled mess and this seems like a good place to make a clean break.

Save import would be a horrible design decision

The appropiate answer to this question is in fact another question:

Why?

As there is no answer to THIS question at all, beside three dots ... representing the same as burying one's head in your hands and sobbing silently,  the whole purpose of this thread is moot ...

Andromeda is all about a New Story with New Characters Divorced from the Shep universe, which begins Long after the events of ME3.

So, how would importing a saved ME3 file affect the ME:A story?

Shepherd did not die at the end of Mass Effect 3 he was integrated in with the machine so therefore John Shepard is still alive you guys obviously thinks he is dead play the game again and we watch the cutscenes he had a son or daughter so therefore we can or could integrate the third Mass Effect game save file into ME:A but that's the creators decisions not your guyses so if you really don't know the answer please don't reply just put dots or say I don't know thank you

We must be able to import our ME3 save! The various species of Andromeda have the right to know who Shepard banged.

Truth be told OP, I don't think there will be a keep for MEA. We knew about the keep for DAI well in advance and I was a closed beta tester for a long time. We have been given no indication at all that there will be a keep, let alone a save import. Many of us also believe the ARK departs the Galaxy before ME3 begins, so it also wouldn't be that beneficial anyway.

Not to mention, I couldn't see BioWare giving PC gamers a feature no one else gets. CDPR did it for TW3, which was nice as console gamers didn't get a save import, but I don't expect anything for MEA. It would be nice to see my previous experience with the franchise reflected somehow. I think BioWare wants a clean slate to not scare away potential fans.
