[MMXIV]

As the title says, I forgot to recruit Gordon Blackwall. I already have the other 8 companions.

 

The problem is that "The Lone Warden" mission is not showing up on the map in the Hinterlands. And when I go to the spot where he should stand (near the barn), no-one is there. I'm already in Skyhold (while the mission should be started in Haven), and when I talk to Leliana in Skyhold, she doesn't talk about him. I'm also past the Adamant mission and I don't have an older savegame.

 

Is there any way I can still recruit him, by talking to a certain person or something? Or is it too late?

According to the Wiki it should've triggered automatically and there's no alternative ways mentioned on the page (http://dragonage.wik...The_Lone_Warden). So unfortunately, I think you're out of luck and will have to do without Blackwall.

 

 

Though if you're on PC you might be able to edit your save game??? This is speculation on my part based on some other sites mentioning editing saves to circumvent certain bugs, so don't pin me down on this one.

Well, at the moment I'm more into the multiplayer anyway.

Ugg. Blackwall bugged out on me - his personal quest never triggered...so they hung him. Oh well...RIP Blackwall/Rainer.

Yup. Not like he doesn't deserve to be executed. 

 

The only reason I ever keep him around is to make his death (possibly in combat, then as a Warden) useful.

He's a damn good fighter which is why I keep him around, even though I detest what is revealed in his personal quest.

I forgot Sera once. I wanted to recruit her after I recruited the mages to dodge her huge dissaproval and then I completely forgot. I had to restart that game, not because of Sera, but because my worldstat wasn't properly imported and I got stuck with some male Hawke and a stuff of decisions, my Warden and my Hawke would have never made.

 

Anyway, I hated that I forgot one character. Ok Sera isn't bound to a quest like Blackwall, so I guess, I could have recruited her later on, but still, it bugged me.

 

Blackwall is a great character btw. I'm doing the romance at the moment

That's really not the biggest lost ever. Blackwall isn't very interesting, to be honest.

This is why I always ask to see a birth-certificate.
