It's harder than it looks.
If we're talking for someone else to be playing then that's easy- melee Puggernaut. Those other two be stealing my cluster grenades. 
(and lets face it, even though the puggernaut is inevitably going to stand 2 ft outside the hack circle meleeing ****, its not like the Harrier TGI or Reegar sexbot are going to be helping with that hack either)
You need to PUG more. Instant drop in Talons. Or maybe it's different in Platinum. That's where everyone brings out their big guns, I guess.
I don't mean to argue, but finding spawns quickly, standing out in the open and spamming those cains quickly is not easy. Sometimes it feels like I'm talking to a wholly different crowd here than the ones I see in game.
Ghost is the only one that screams *insert bsn appropriate negative name here* to me
I will roll my eyes when I see an AIU and the other stuff is just whatever to me. It's only when the Ghost makes an appearance unless they are playing though other characters as well. If someone wants to play the Ghost here and there then I have no problems with that.
If you play the Ghost 10/10 games then I will be posting on BSN pressing my analogs every few minutes so I don't get kicked while you make my credits for me. I will help with the objectives.
1. Talon Merc CAIN-spam (so boriiiiiiiiiiiiiing. Makes arc grenades look like a skilled weapon)
2. AIUReegar (also boriiiiiiiiiing. Also seems to be the preserve of people who don't want to help with objectives, or die and ragequit)
3. TGI Carrier (boring, but it seems most people have gotten the hang of using stimpaks by now. Also that cloaked overload is great for my engineers)
4. Melee Puggernaut (usually a noob, so they get a pass. If competently done, they can be a useful meat-shield)
I don't have anything against people polaying TGI, AIU or Juggernauts (I have used these kits a lot during solos).
But the Merc I just can't stand, it's the cheapest and shittiest kit in the game, spamming lol-Iwin Cain mines is just dirty and wrong.
How can it be cheaper than an AIU incendiary reegar ? Invincible kit, with great speed, gun that melts anything without requiring ANY skill. At least the talon requires you to palce well the mines, or at least to watch your counter. And he's not that easy to play (compared with any of the 3 others) especially due to low fitness.
I don't mind the talon....tho i've played with a few that managed to barricade themselves with cain mines within a small section (thinks of that upper level on goddess where the ammo crate is)
The AIU?...i have no issues with her either...like others have mentioned, i don'thave to worry about revivin' her since 90% of the time she will revive herself...
TGI....no complaints..
Juggy?....idk...i always welcome the juggy....either the player is going to suck with him and he will go down alot or the player is really good with him....either way he takes on alot of arrgo which takes the heat off of my phoenix....
The characters that have annoyed me, but i know they are only trying to kill things are flamers....Vorcha,Geth...so i just try to avoid being in their line of fire....
I'm probably no fun in this thread, but I really don't have an issue with folks playing whatever they want to play with... 
The Jugg, AIU, and Talon will most often be noobs who are trying to use their strongest kit to be able to contribute. Most of them will be reasonable team players who try a lot and die a lot.
The TGI will mostly be carrying a Harrier X with Nade Cap 5 and will almost certainly be off scwhoring as much as possible, will check the scoreboard on the ammo box in between waves, and the missiles will probably start flying at wave 9 to make sure.
The other day I dropped in a lobby with a host playing AUI lvl 20 + crusader + APIV + shotgun amp III + grenade capacity V and BotB banner with cyclonics IV. It was Jade cerberus gold and other players stopped reviving him around wave 5. He then actually started to gel and he did the objectives. Otherwise, it was a very smooth 16 min game. IMO, he died a lot because there were 4 infiltrators, two of them QMI with arc grenades, so spawns frequently landed on top of him as things died very fast and he was quite aggressive. His host was pretty decent.
Yesterday I dropped in a lobby of lonely TGI/Harrier II with BotB banner and grenade capacity V. We started UUG duo and it gave us Rio reapers. Wave 3 was infamous escort from cannons to LZ through the whole map. He died somewhere in the middle while I was just starting the escort. He did not gel and I had to finish the escort by myself through the whole map. After drone reached the LZ, I waited for a bit but nobody joined and I just bled out. The host was quite bad.

Anyway, the Melee Juggernaut is the worst but in close competition with the TGI Harrier. The first one because they tend to do their force chokes in open areas where their shield gain is easily outstripped by multiple damage sources. The second because it's the most common. He's just a boring team mate to have.
The AIU on the other hand, there's a good chance she gets up when she goes down so I don't have to worry about reviving her. Also, she's sexy and her jumps/dodges are hilarious to watch.
Talon merc pugs like to set up a line of defense so enemies can *trip* the light fandango and get kills and stuff. when I see that happening I always kill the enemies before they get to those mines, they get mad, oh well
the melee puggernaut otherwise know as the Statue of Liberty team mate gives you the best shot at scorewhoring, they do little damage and you get to kill everything around him
the AIU puggerlolreegar rarely puts on Inced4 ammo and barely scores any damage for a team mate esp when using explosive rounds.and, they dont know how to use repair matrix and are dead a lot
TGI carrier, dont see that much in pugs, since they dont have a carrier at rank X so they most likely have the kit not spec'd for max dps
I dont play any of these kits so meh
When I first unlocked the kit, that is exactly what I tried to do (setting traps for the enemies). Then I discovered the optimal way to play him is to nuke spawns but I didn't get the hang of reaching them quickly enough before the Marauders and Captains started dispersing. So I resorted to Graal and Heavy Melee.
I think I'll start Cain-spamming now.

Let's say your favourite to run into while pugging.
^This is the only way I can answer this question, since I would never go out of my way to play any of those setups.
So based off that stipulation, I'd pick melee puggernaut to run into in a pug. At least then I could use him as a decoy while I use an actual fun character to do damage.

After all, not everyone is obsessed with turians or quarians not that there is anything wrong with turians or quarians or asari. It's just that sexbot is also ... well, sexy in her own way. Every time I think about it, I get less mad and usually try to revive them or help otherwise. They sometimes melee me back and it feels good.

I've actually met a few that were great to team up with. One quite recently in fact. But I'd say, on PC, on Plat, pugging around the time of 6pm-3am Pacific, most of them I run into, are not worth running into. At this stage in the game I don't let that stop me, despite the sh*tpost. There isn't much I won't ready up for now. That wasn't always the case though, the opposite was quite true once upon a time, about a year ago.

max out your commons and uncommons first, and power kits like the human adept are your friend.
