May the Maker bless Solas and Bioware give an option to support him in his genocide quest.
I genuinely believe that his cause is a good one, as i'm of the opinion that a finite life is without meaning and an infinite life is the only one who has a meaning.
So give us the option to help him also let me play as an ancient elf so that i don't die when he tear down the veil like those shemlen
which from what i grasped will happen because Sandal said so

Bring back the greatness of the elves.

They are not the race that Thedas need but they are the race that Thedas deserve.

No.

Shemlen <_<

No. In the words of a wise dev, "You don't anger the dwarf fans. They're prepared to go to war."

Keep dreaming, Solas. B)

But if you really think about it, if the world was restored the way it was when elves were at the height of their glory, then the dwarves would be restored to their former glory too. No more forever war with the darkspawn, no more infested and deserted Deep Roads, no more abandoned Thaigs, no more fertility problems (and if this is back when Titans were around, no more being cut off from the Stone or the Fade...). That seems like a pretty sweet deal to me.

Except the elves didn't have infinite life. They had extended lives, but they can and are killed.

Oh I'm sure all the people who are going to die amidst all this are going to feel SOOOOOOO grateful about the world Fen'Harel is going to '' restore '' or what not.

In fact humans are the invaders here, they better go from where they came, all that they did as good was created the darkspawn

Except the elves didn't have infinite life. They had extended lives, but they can and are killed.

And then be brought to life by their spirits like FLemeth did, they know that bodies are a limited thing, they don't die easly

They should be,since their presence in Thedas is a mistake in the first place that will be  fixed as soon as possible also they are destined to die of aging anyhow

But nothing suggests that this will happen. The dwarves aren't going to regain everything they lost by losing everything they have now.

Dwarves are not connected to the fade, they should not even notice the difference with or without the veil.

The thing is it is a bit like that chap said in Jurassic Park about them bringing back dinosaurs; they had their chance but that was in the past and the world moved on.   In this case instead of a giant meteorite, we had Solas raising the Veil.   He created the conditions that allowed new life to flourish and that life has validity.   You cannot simply dismiss it as a mistake.   Solas himself claimed to Cassandra that this was a core part of his beliefs; that every free thinking creature has a right to exist.    Actually my Lavellan would take it a step further, because there is also the rest of the ecosystem that Solas would sweep away to restore what once was.    My Lavellan admires the beauty of the world as it is now; the forests, the rivers, the seas and the diversity of animals within it (even if sometimes those critters can be annoying).    Morrigan criticises the modern human civilisations for destroying the things it doesn't understand and value; how much worse is it when you claim you do now acknowledge that the people of this world deserve better (so he does understand them) and yet is still going ahead, blithely disregarding all the rest of the multitude of life.

So, if there is a way of removing the Veil without catastrophic effects on everything else, then I might support him, but as it is I don't.   He should simply find a nice remote place that can be a sanctuary for the modern elves who wish to get away from the drudgery of the alienages and the slavery of Tevinter. plus the Dalish if they feel so inclined, and encourage his ancient buddies to integrate with them and teach them what they know.

Of course it may be that Solas is doing the Maker's work.   Drakon had a vision of the end of the world that looks very like someone (in this case the Maker) tearing down the Veil, with various consequences, after which the Maker will restore it as a paradise for all.

I'm pretty sure they'll notice the "raw chaos", and since Solas says he'd rather 'your people' die in comfort to Inquisitors of all races... that includes dwarves. He also says they're a severed arm of a once-mighty hero, implying that he liked them better as whatever they were before.

So... change. Messy change. Not necessarily welcome change.

Uh yeah, sure. I suppose at the end of DA4 it would be ok from a purely RPG standpoint to have the ability to choose the "help Solas with his plan" option.

That being said, I will not take that choice. Solas may have chosen the fate of the People over the fate of the other races, but I still believe that the other races deserve a chance.

Well, in theory Solas plan isn't so bad. If everyone has magic, no one has, and it could solve a lot of problems. But it would unleash the Evanuris upon the world, possibly create a violent reaction with the Blight and kill almost everyone but some Elvhen (and possibly some elves, I'm not really sure yet). That's a lot of very wrong things. Plus, I really doubt that Bioware would allow us to side with such a plan, when we basically spent the whole of DA:I thwarting the same one, at a lesser scale. Honestly, In the next game (if it is indeed in Tevinter, but probably also if it is in the Anderfels) we'll have the choice to support a statu quo faction or a reformist faction, but nothing too radical. Even Bhelen, for all his reformists brand was not central to the plot, while erasing the present world to replace it is anything but minor.

Keeping Solas' track record with these things in mind, he might turn all of Thedas into nugs instead.

There are two types of elves, the modern ones who are the equivalent of the birds that evolved from the dinosaurs and will die along with everyone else, and the ancient ones who are like the dino DNA trapped in amber, or in their case uthenera.     Now they could just accept the fact that the world moved on, start having babies and help their modern descendants, rather than slumbering away indefinitely in the hope that one day things will go back the way they were.     I know the analogy isn't perfect but it is basically how his whole plan should be viewed.

Life always evolve and flourish you don't know what life was during the pre veil world and a life that is not eternal doesn't have the same meaning.
These new races are a mistake all of them,Qunari are a mistake, modern elves are the result of their lost immortality, dwarves are incomplete everything is a mess in Thedas now.

Also the right to live is built upon wars as sad it may be that's true,Humans don't even belong to Thedas they are the invaders

You can't actually think that this is going to happen.
