Not sure if anyone else has encountered this, but it seems that most of the time, the explosion does not cause friendly fire, just like all the other AoE masterworks. However, every now and then, it does, resulting in a glorious OHKO for the poor inquisitor. Anyone else seen something like this? Or am I going mad? This happens even solo, without Dorian around.

 

I've not tried any of the explode on kill masterworks to see if it happens there as well.

No, you are not hallucinating. I've seen it a couple of times out of hundreds of WB procs. Not sure what is triggering it, but yes, some mighty glitch.

I sided with the mages on that PT, so no 1337 haxxor mode for me
