Humans. Michel De Chevin is an half-elf and he saw it like other humans in TME.
Wonder what ever happened to non-elves struggling to walk there...

I guess it would've been too difficult thing to add to the game.
It would be annoying if you had to wait everytime for your companions to catch up before entering the Eluvians.

I'm not worried about my companions being slow, I'm worried about myself.

You didn't really have to walk very far during Tresspasser. I mean all the eluvians were like 1 minute walktime away at worst.
