Bender is a jerk. Not gonna be swayed with that :P

Seriously though, I think Anora gets too much crap. Besides that, she's a commoner. I always feel it's right to put her in power somehow, even if Alistair is the one giving that speech. People should hate Eamon instead.. he espouses all of that Divine Right of Kings bullshit, that just puts nobles at the top.

Eamon, Anora, Alistair, were all pretty much equally unappealing so far as I can remember....

The only character that seemed at all capable was Ser Cauthrien, she wasn't exactly an option though...

Cauthrien represents the better side of Loghain and Anora. The egalitarian side. She was just a farmgirl that Loghain saw talent in. So he made her the head of his knights. This is something that wouldn't happen if Eamon was in charge.

English is the definition of inconsistent.

Truer words were never said.

What is the actual sentence that Morrigan says? Or is it a path after a certain Inquisitor dialogue option? Until this thread, I had no recollection whatsoever of her actually saying the word "skeletal."

Sorry I don't remember the quote, but I think it's after you return through the eluvian either in the Crossroads or talking to Flemeth in the fade. Maybe asking about the Old God soul? Anyway, I wanted to say that she says "skeletal hand" and I remember her making a funny hand movement to go along with it ^_^

Eamon and Harrowmont should've been bosom buddies.

Sounds like Andre Massena.

But Loghain in general? So many problems there...

Oh, yeah.. I agree. I only see him and Anora as a first step. But even so, I'd rather not kill off this progress before it's even really begun. Or at least her, I mean. Loghain can suck an egg.

As a student of english linguistics let me tell you, variety is something English has in spades. And that's without counting the variants that mix other languages like Pringlish, well, Spanglish may be more well known, and even that has its own variants. English with Spanish grammar, English with spanish vocabulary and English with both.

If anything the problem is that she was not talking directly to you. IRL people tend to slightly change the way they talk so they're understood better (Social Accomodation Theory). Not to mention that you could always ask for clarification.

Overall there is just no correct way of speaking, or a wrong one, just intelligible ones for each ocasion, and that will obviously change depending on the ocasion.

Huh. Where's that coming from. Where do you study, and what semester.

Any variation on English (Czenglish, notably for me) that uses another language's grammar is an incorrect of speaking the language. Much like speaking any other language with English grammar would not be correct.
