We definitely should take the Quarians with us. They know how to scavenge, scrounge and trade/beg for resources... and that's exactly what we will need to do to survive in a new galaxy.

I don't think slow extinction is the key to win here. We don't need to scavenge, we need to harvest.

Now, here, you see, it takes all the running you can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!

I've heard of gundam but I wasn't too interested in the whole giant robots thing much. Is it any good?

As for import troubles, no Dark Souls 3 apocalypse edition here! :(

Its a matter of taste, I mean I love the franchise, at least the UC portion of it which is the original one.

If I remember correctly, the Helghast were actually the ones to start the major war on the ISA, under the leadership of the Scholar Visari. Hell they even nuked their own city near the end of the war so they're hardly what I'd call the good guys! I haven't played Shadowfall though so perhaps its changed a bit in the future. I agree though that they do look badass and have some sick melee animations in game!

The Helghast (Not original name) and ISA were once one group, but the group disagreed on things and eventually broke into two groups. The Helghast went to colonize Vekta, a beautiful lust planet, very similar to Earth. The Helghast set up trade routes, but to keep it safe, they had a tax on it. There was other routes but they had asteroids and pirates. The ISA didn't want to pay the tax, they wanted to go for free. After some time, the ISA pretty much ran Earth dry, so they needed a new place to live. The Helghast refused to take the ISA refugees, for a couple reasons 1) fear of a repeat of early disagreements 2) what happened to Earth would happen to Vekta.

This PO ISA, who then invaded and kicked out the Helghast, who out of desperation colonized the planet Helgan. Helgan had poisonous gas that killed many Helghast, but changed many others and future generations. Due to the gas, most lost their hair, as well caused their skin and eyes to look sickly. The Helghast (think ISA gave them this name as mockery for living on Helgan) wanted to take back Vekta from the ISA. The ISA cried that there was women and children on Vekta, and was an act of war. However, the Helghast didn't care because there was once Helghast women and children on Vekta. The Helghast wanted the ISA to suffer like they had to.

As for the bombing of the Helgan city in KZ2, it wasn't an easy choice or else Visari would of blew it up the second you landed. It was an act of desperation, because the Helghast were losing the war and the ISA military was all over the city. So it was an unfortunate necessity, to weaken the ISA forces. The ISA did a dirty tactic and brought the war to the city, thinking the Helghast were gutless, and would run and not attack the city causing them to surrender. It didn't work like that, and it cost both greatly. If the war took place say out in a desert, the ISA invaders would of been nuked on the spot. Visari just wanted Vekta returned to the Helghast. The Helghast were not without honor, Col. Mael Radic respected Jan Templar so much he was very disappointed he had to kill him outside the battlefield.

*snorts* You just lost all credibility as far as I am concerned as the original MSG, Zeta and CCA are cited by most parties as some of the best dubbing done in anime-period. The later stuff, the from Aldnoah (which isn't a Gundam period but is a homage) is irrelevant to the stuff people should actually watch which is the Origin and Unicorn both of which in my opinion have pretty bad dubs except for a few exceptions like Keith Silverstein who is the VA for Char in Origin and Full Frontal in Unicorn, exceptions like him are the rarity because there are only like four VA's who I think are any good but...that isn't a reflection on some of the best dubbing you will ever see in the 80s of the likes of MSG, Zeta and more.

Anyway if you are a sub purist or whatever you are just missing out.

If you're used to the japanese voices it's really jarring to suddendly hear the characters speak english. Even if it's done well.

And to be fair... most of the time it isn't done well. For every excellent dub you can probably name a dozen that sucked.

Personally, I think some anime actually sounds better in the English dub than its original Japanese. Attack on Titan sounds better in Japanese to me, but my problem is that the subtitles can sometimes be a mess when multiple characters are talking at the same time, but, say, Cowboy Bebop, to me, doesn't even exist in Japanese anymore.

One way to confirm this.

Which format did you view the original MSG in? Movie or TV series?

Hmm..according to the wiki though, the Helghast initiated the hostilities against the earth colonists which prompted the ISA to enact more trade laws and bindings on the Helgan corporation. Also its given that most of the helghast moved to helghan voluntarily. http://killzone.wiki.../Helghan_Empire

Nuking a city full of civilians is not exactly a model behavior and merely delaying it doesn't exactly redeem his actions. I felt like the ISA did the only possible thing to do near the end of the war, which was to push forward to the enemies homebase. Kinda like how the Allies did at the end of world war 2 against Germany. It's literally the only thing left to do to stop the war, can't blame them for taking it right? No one is saying the helghans are lacking honor or that they're not valiant. They've got an abundance of that but it's humanity they seem to be lacking. They're tough but they also seem hell bent on destruction and victory no matter the cost.

You're probably correct but I don't trust wikias incase of misinformation. I'm not saying Visari was right to kill off the city, but when you are desperate, you always do stupid things. Thus why I said both sides lost greatly. Also the aggression of the Helghast is also due to Helgan's gas. It changed; warped their minds. The other reason for their looks and aggression, is a metaphor for if vengeance was a physical being or people, it'd be the Helghast. As vengeance in any form is ugly. Now true, both did horrible things, but in the end the Helghast were the just original victims.

I am nothing if not a source of education for the unenlightened.

Enjoy.

The original 1979 Mecha classic that kicked started arguably one of the most profitable anime franchise in existence.

The products, TV ads and anime itself generated a amazing seven million us dollars in the 43 episode anime's run which would equal out to around twenty five million today.

Iron Man's argument is the more conservative in the Civil War comics and movie though. Cap would be in favor of dubs since the viewer has the option of which to watch. Iron Man would want stricter control and favor subs...
