You really weren't satisfied with that purchase at all were you.

In retrospect, thinking about Steam and Origin as "platforms" rather than as distribution channels was a category mistake that confused a lot of us. Buy from Origin, buy from Steam , buy from Amazon..... what's the difference? It was a fair question, because no one knew. After all, ME1 and ME2 were both available on Steam. And, in that thread, most of the replies went along the lines of: "Nah, that wouldn't be a good business decision, you have to release it on multiple platforms to make more money". I agreed with that idea and I thought to myself that it was in EA's best interest to make sure that the entire trilogy becomes available on Steam, but if they wanted to release it on Origins as well, then sure, why not? Give people choices, right? Then a horrible idea later came to mind: "What if EA uses ME3 as an Origins exclusive to better 'promote' / advertise / "sell" their own distribution platform?".
No. I would also like lore/story critical information to be in the main game and not $15 DLC. That is infuriating.
I feel like there's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation here. So BioWare has this epic journey scifi game, and then at some point, they release a DLC to expand upon the universe and give players the opportunity to get more content with the characters they like. If the game doesn't add more lore or put more context in certain things here and there, people will complain that the DLC is just a meaningless add-on. But if they do add more lore and put more context in certain things, then people will complain that these things should've been in the main game.
I suppose then that this is more an argument against DLC of any sort, though I admit that the devs occasionally adding on to the game does kind of liven it up for someone like me, who probably played the game multiple times before any add-on content is even announced.
Yeah, I mean Citadel not being part of the base game was a slap in the face
The problem with this idea is that people assume that if something like Citadel was part of Mass Effect 3 from the beginning, it would be almost identical to what we have now, only "free". Let's not forget that the way these add-ons are designed may have things that are the result of Bio's correcting things from the vanilla game that players criticize.
I mean, I know sarcasm doesn't convey through text very well but come on...
Stupid internet. It's caught me once again.

I find the concept of the season pass to be pretty idiotic so I hope ME:A doesn't have one.
Well, I'd disagree about From Ashes being integral. Protheans per se aren't actually important in the MEU. They're just another exterminated cycle. The type of DLC I'm referring to is DLC like From Ashes or Leviathan. DLC that is so integral to the plot that it should have been in the base game.
No.

DLC like Citadel and Omega are perfectly acceptable DLCs because they are side stories that expand the context but are not required.
But that goes to the whole DLC being part of BioWare's corrections point. If ME3's ending was actually well received and people didn't complain that the Catalyst seemed to just come out of nowhere, would Leviathan still exist?
I always buy season pass.
Sure, I don't mind xD
I always buy season pass.
Me too! If it's a game I like then I always buy the season pass and dlc and what else comes with it. I'm a sucker for these games and it's "accessories" lol ![]()

I'm not sure what the actual case against season passes is either. I don't pay too much attention since I don't buy DLC very often. What's the downside?
Sure, why the hell not. I'll buy.

But only for Mass Effect.
No. I'm not of fan of this trend.
Absolutely no.
No but I'm just going to shoot myself in the foot and buy it anyway so only can blame myself.
